With Disney Plus bringing Vincent D'Onofrio back as Kingpin, that gives hope to the other Netflix Marvel characters. Question is are they will and able to go dark enough for the Punisher.
This show is so fucking dark and i love it. It's kinda depressing at times but they really nailed the tone.
Fun fact: Castle did 3 tours in vietnam (among black ops in laos and other countries). Officially, Castle was only permitted to do 2 tours and was rejected for the third. So what did he do? He changed his name from Francis Castiglione to Frank Castle and signed on to a 3rd tour under a different name. I love that the creaters refrenced the name change lol.

The writing on this show was amazing, brilliant actually. Never seen a tv show with such rich character depth and unafraid to touch on some reaaaaaal sensitive issues. Get ready to experience greatness gentlemen. Cant wait to see the rest with yeah!

This Series jumped right to the top of the pile for me. This was awesome. I just finished it this A.M
I love how the flashbacks are playing on we the viewers in a way to show us PTSD is affecting Frank every single day.

By far the best Marvel Netflix show since daredevil season 2. Seems a lot more grounded to the real world than the "marvel" world like the other shows.

I feel like what really hooks you about this show is, after so many Marvel and superhero movies where the hero in question struggles with the question of killing the people he's out to defeat, it's jaw-dropping seeing the brutality, savagery, and slaughter that is simply the Punisher's default method.

Jonny Bernthal was made for this role. This show is so badass.

Finished the show and it is incredible! The whole cast is amazing, especially Bernthal. It balances comic book dialogue, brutal action, and real issues very well. Also, you probably recognize agent Madani's mother's voice as Tali's aunt, Shala Raan, from Mass Effect.

You gave up on Daredevil? Daredevils probably the best out all the Marvel Netflix shows. Season two is even better because it has the Punisher in it.

I agree! The NRA guy wasn't over the top at all. He was no different than your run of the mill Rush Limbaugh or Alex Jones. I use those two as examples because they're well-known, but there's a lot of people I personally know who aren't famous who are just as bad if not worse than that NRA guy.
In fact I run my own commentary news outlet ( JoshHillPolitics.com ). & honestly, I have had so much worse stuff said to me that it makes the NRA guy seem tame by comparison.

Frank exhibits a love of Tom waits’s music a few times through the series. It’s kind of dope that frank listens to Tom and gets his whole thing. Or maybe it’s visa verse ;)

I'm only on episode 3 and i can be honest i think punisher might be up their with Daredevil as one of the bests, with this episode The flashback scenes tugged at my heartstrings, I also loved the scene with Frank and curt during the meeting scene I also apericated the whole group counselling scene and how real it was. The fight scene with the construction guys let just say I have rewatched that scene close to 5 times based off how awesome it is ( the music,his brutality) it was awesome

When you guys are done, go back to this episode (and all the rest) and see how "layered" this show really is ... there is so much foreshadowing and character development that follows the best "rules" of good narrative ....

15:00 Aside from the incredible visuals, that's what stood out for me in the recent Last Of Us trailer. You SAW the lightning flash, then HEARD the thunder a few seconds later. Best sound design I'd ever seen!
