During my engineering days our hostel had 2 solar water heaters , each 100l. Our hostel had accommodation for 24. During my 4 years I never had a day when there was no hot water be day or night. As solar heaters come with storage tanks. So they store water after heating them and if you have basic understanding of thermodynamics than you know that the water after that will be haeted quickly. So you will get hot water throughout the day and in the evening heated water will be stored in insulated 100l storage to be used During the night. There were times when I had to bath at 4am in the morning and hot water was always Available. So I would suggest that rather than going by unexperienced youtubers , go experience it yourself and than make your decisions. BTW heat pumps use R36 as refrigerant wo you will be harming the environment way more in long run.
Madam....plz guide us.... approximately...in kw...how much electricity will be consumed by heat pump in a day....if it needs to heat 200 litre of water once at 55 deg c.
Perfect explanation and precisely decisive information given from all the aspects cost ,uses, and working. Overall good content and good communication and perfectly conveyed the knowledge
Madam ji, we are missing the main point here.. why ppl went for solar water heater is bcoz of natural availability of sunlight. Bcoz if you want to use electricity in heat pump then you can use normal electric geysers. Another thing ppl will take bath only once per day unless you belong to coatal region like Kerala and Mangalore where they bathe twice a day. Why do you want to go for water pump when you have the available sunlight?
sir It is about budget both are good for heat pump budget is high and water heater is low... in low price you can get the good product.. So you can go for water heater
Heat pump is not a viable product. First of all, as said in the video that heat pump costs 1.5 times the cost of solar is wrong. A heat pump costs 3 times that of a solar. Secondly, however effecient a heat pump is, it stull uses electricity to operate. So why would anyone pay 3 times the price & get an equipment which has recurring/operating costs. Now for calculation of electricity consumption, a solar water heater will require electricity only during a few months of monsoon. However, a heat pump will require electricity 24X7 all round the year. Therefore, amount of consumption doesnt matter due to duration of consumption. Lastly, a heat pump use is applicable only in regions where solars absolutely don't work.

A few mistakes in lady's presentation. Viz 1.5 times of 50k is spoken as 1.50 lakhs. 200 LPD is spoken as 2000 LPD.
apologies for the inconvenience
Are you taking bath weekly or monthly??
Daily
We expect a final decision from you. We seek your advice only when we are confused. You are asking us to decide!
