I am a Turkish person from Turkey. Last year, while traveling in Barcelona, I met a young woman who told me she was from Kashgar. We spoke in English for the first 20 minutes, but then her phone rang, and she began speaking in her native language. I was stunned-I could understand about 60% of the conversation. This video brought back that same feeling of surprise and connection. As Turks, our ancestors once lived close to China (during the Göktürk and Hun Empires etc), but most of us migrated to other parts of the world in the 4th century. Despite this long separation, I still see striking similarities in the foods, language and cultures of the Uyghur people. It’s a makes me feel weird, happy and sad at the same time. I wish them all a very happy, healthy and long life, thank you for the video.
Your videos are so natural and authentic. They really capture the essence of the people and places you go. I love in the interactions with the local, just makes it that much more complete.

Some Americans might not like scooters. I feel that most Americans would enjoy Little Chinese Everywhere videos, which in some ways is better than actually going to China. :):). I subscribed back when there was less than 20,000 subs. Now look at it and it is growing faster and faster.
@@hannesRSA I do not love anything wholly. There is nuance in everything in life, especially when considering such a large and expansive land such as China or even the US. I can appreciate the culture of the people and landscapes of a country without agreeing to everything that a country currently puts forth on the World Stage, wouldn't you agree?
@@hannesRSA My comment still stands. Take a poll of American citizens and their feelings on China. There are SO many that appreciate it for what it has always been. the history and beauty and the people...sadly there are also VERY many people that dislike China without a valid reason. You can argue all day with me about this but it doesn't change that China is looked poorly upon by America in general.
@PowerSynopsis the Chinese government is not liked here in the US but many of us are smart enough to care about the people & enjoy the culture & varied landscapes. I'm sorry you aren't aware of the many here in the US that do like & appreciate China
China is a wonderful place to visit, from the 4000 plus year old civilization, to the diverse peoples and culture, to its wonderful landscapes and natural wonders.
Of all your videos this is my favourite. Stories of the old Asian trading routes have fascinated me all my life (I'm almost as ancient!) and your stories/videos have covered many of many of them. Xinjiang was undoubtedly one of the northern east/west routes. The hustle and bustle of life in Kashgar for example, is how I imagine life has gone on though these regions for many hundreds of years, except that instead of scooters transport was probably the Bactrian Camel. The way you interact with people and get them to open up to you is inspirational. I'm really looking forward to your journey as you travel west towards Tajikstan (and the Tianshan mountains), the corridor to Uzbek and Turkman(istan). A wonderful video!

Regular people (not rich) are friendly, kind and generous everywhere until they come into contact with Western Finance Capitalism and unnecessary consumption. Stunning!

Wow, beautiful people, food and landscapes! The kids are just so wonderful! I love this very much!
I love your videos SO much! I'm one of the few Americans that appreciate scooters and perhaps even one of the fewer that love China. I am so glad you show us your country!
Some Americans might not like scooters. I feel that most Americans would enjoy Little Chinese Everywhere videos, which in some ways is better than actually going to China. :):).
I subscribed back when there was less than 20,000 subs. Now look at it and it is growing faster and faster.
Loads of people like scooters and China. Everyone with the endless virtue signaling. So egotistical.
You have a very nice video presence. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Thank you 🥰
Always 👍 on your videos. We got to see amazing cultures and landscapes far from our reach.
Welcome back Yan after your short , well earned break . You see , people know a class act when they see one in you ,by inviting you to their home , serving food and drinks and presenting gifts . It's so obvious that you have the class and flair of a Queen and people do notice these traits very quickly . Common decency and cordiality costs nothing and you have these assets in abundance . I'm chuffed to bits you are back on your travels for us admirers again and may I wish you good times ahead and God speed ...from Scotland ,take good care .🎉🎉
Thank you for educating us on this special unique part of China 😊🤗 truely amazing 😊 lovely people & you're a wonderful youtuber, I wish you many more blessings as you travel & show us more 🙏🏾❤

I find an amazing comfort watching this content...OMG...thank so much for all the editing, filming, planning...LOVE IT!!!!!
It’s incredible how kind and generous the Uyghur people are. Very heartwarming to see this beauty of the soul 💜💜.
Regular people (not rich) are friendly, kind and generous everywhere until they come into contact with Western Finance Capitalism and unnecessary consumption. Regular people then become selfish, greedy and manipulative. The West's zero-sum mentality ruins everything. 500+ years of Western Colonialism would not have succeeded if the Native peoples of the World were not friendly, kind and generous.
Uyghur genocide took place. China must be held accountable!
@@putinisbiden8588 where is the proof? British committed genocide against Native American Indians and must be held accountable. It is the Anglo American Empire spreading anti-China propaganda as usual.

Seeing the children run around and have fun together, made me realize how grateful I am to have been able to experience such childhood as well. It's so contrasting to what children are now like these days, at least in Czech Republic, where I am from, you don't see it that much anymore. Last year I was in Xinjiang, for about a month, I travelled north and south Xinjiang by train, bus, minivan. I walked the streets at night, I even walked in Kashgar old town at closed to 12 midnight, there were residents gathered outside their home chit-chat. It was peaceful and totally safe.
