I have had a white pine that has gone a bit yellow/orange. I will move it immediately. At least I have kept it outside. Your advice may well help me to keep it alive. So grateful.
Wise words from Walter about repotting White Pines! I have one large one imported from China for almost 30 years now and it has been repotted 3 times since I have it! And I used always a soil mixture of hard Akadama, Kiryu and Bims. And like Walter explained it always stays outside in all kinds of weather! But I always do use organic fertilizer as well as the cheap inorganic stuff from the supermarket! The only big problem that I came across is that it has problems with budding back and branches tends to get leggy and long! Thanks for posting these very informative video's Sebastian! Cheers, Hans van Meer.
Lovely looking group. Seems so natural.

To get white pine to back bud you have to decandle when the needles drop sheath and harden
This man is the best mentor ever
Gorgeous tree.
Great tree - how is it doing now? Still healthy and alive? How much did you pay for it?
Love the Pot!
Is there a link to the polish akadama he mentions?
Nema vas 2 godina da stavite video 😁 cekamo vas 😊
That very true, they are now a lot less expensive to kill…
With all due respect, cold winter is a must for five needle pine. They die because people don’t understand this tree. Nothing wrong with its roots
Interesting that such a master admits to killing so many trees. Maybe there is still some hope for me.
white pine needs to be very dry...!!!
he tells the opposite... strange...?
