  • North Macedonia is a landlocked country in Southeast Europe. It shares land borders with Kosovo to the northwest, Serbia to the north, Bulgaria to the east, Greece to the south, and Albania to the west. It constitutes approximately the northern third of the larger geographical region of Macedonia. Skopje, the capital and largest city, is home to a quarter of the country's 1.83 million people.

    Awesome my dream is traveling through the balkans too but how is it with racism? I think the people are nicer than in Western Europe.

      To be honest they are very nice in the Balkans. Regarding racism, racism is everywhere. I really don’t pay attention to it 😉😉

      @user-yu3er9ve1g 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No one knows who built this bridge. One version is about Justinian I, the other about Mehmed II The Conqueror. Basically, after the Roman Empire, these territories were ruled by the Bulgarians for the longest time and then by the Ottomans. However, Ottoman archives show that nearly 70% of the population were Christian Bulgarians. It was like this until the 19th century. It is no coincidence that all national heroes in Macedonia are ethnic Bulgarians. For example Gotse Delchev who is the national hero of North Macedonia- Bulgarian revolutionary and officer, member of the Bulgarian Exarchate and teacher in Bulgarian schools in Macedonia. Dushan ruled Macedonia for an very short time and the local rulers were again bulgarianс- cousins of Dushan's. And Dushna himself is half Bulgarian - his mother is Bulgarian and even his wife is Bulgarian. At that time, Bulgarians and Serbs did not have significant differences.

    THERE IS ONLY ONE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA!
    SO SINCE THERE IS NO REPUBLIC OF SOUTH MACEDONIA OR WEST MACEDONIA, THERE ISN'T A POINT TO CALL IT NORTH!
    IN GREECE THEY HAVE A PROVINCE AND MACEDONIA IS A REPUBLIC, CLEAR ENOUGH?!

      Can you do a report in Aegean Macedonia? That region in "Greece" that they call Macedonia until 1988 was called the Greek North (Helenikos Voras). The "Greeks" occupied that region in 1913 and committed terrible crimes and genocide against ethnic Macedonians.
