Don't book dormatory here. A lot of mosquitoes are there for non AC rooms. We can't sleep . Only 3 bathrooms for 15 dorm. Flush is broken. Very disgusting for me.
We took Dormitory room only bro. Thiruvananthapuram retiring room has both cabin type of dormitory & seperate room which have booked. Cabin type will be a big hall seperated by wooden type of rooms. We booked like, a hall which has 8 seprate rooms like hotel room. Both will be same price. You can book based on availability.

To book Retiring room, you need to have a reservation ticket in any coach which has PNR number. Unreserved tickets are not allowed. You need to have atleast minimum reserved ticket which will cost ₹30.
If your room is occupied in previous slot, you need to wait till 7am untill they vacate. If the room is vacant, you can request them for early check-in
There is seperate rack under the bed to keep your things. The room doesn't have lock, you should take your own lock and use it when you're not in room. Other than that, lock room facility is available in railway station.

Our allocated room was DAG5,6,7. It is seperate individual room.

Any ticket is eligible bro. You need to have PNR number to book retiring room. When we went , the room cost was ₹240 for 12hrs per person.
