    I'm a tennis pro who's starting to get into pickleball. It's amazing how many principles are the same in both sports. Great job on the presentation! This was one of the best PB videos I've seen.

    I have watched many of your videos (and bought your doubles strategy course), and they are all excellent, but this video is one of your very best! Thank you.

    Your observation of many people not taking their back swing far enough back, on the backhand side, resonated with me instantly. I now recognize that as something that I do, and that flaw limits my power on the backhand side. This probably stems from my initial lack of confidence on that side, and my trying to make the swing easier to execute. I can see now that this habit has become very self-limiting.
    Your analytical skills are incredible, and I find all of your videos so helpful. As a side note, this might be a good time for me to go back over your doubles system program and get back to some of the basics that I have probably strayed away from. Thanks, Nicole!

    Nicole you are the best!!!!!! I bought your double system (fantastic stuff!!!) And I'm also watching all your videos and write down a summary for each and every single one of them and go back to it constantly to remember what I need to improve. That video took me an hour to summarize but it was totally worth it. Thanks so much . You are my favorite coach!!! Cheers from Canada!!!!

    Hi, how many inches off the ground across ALL shots EXCEPT serves is the BEST &/or IDEAL contact low point for practice? THANKS!!

    • @primetimepickleball
      @primetimepickleball  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure I totally understand the question but you always want to get the highest contact point you legally can. The higher the contact the more options you have with your shot.

      @@primetimepickleball all the pros strike the ball as low as possible... ~20" to ~30" off the bounce.

    Is there a practice drill for moving your feet into position

    • @primetimepickleball
      @primetimepickleball  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd go on a wall. Slow my shots down and really place attention on my footwork. I'd start without a ball and wall first and just do it with visualizing the ball and shadow swings so that I can really get organized about how I want my footwork to be and feel. You can run through all your shots like this.

    Notice how well the initial singles player bends his knees on low balls not from waist only.
    He was though hitting forehand off the back foot instead weight transfer back to ftont

    • @primetimepickleball
      @primetimepickleball  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, many player good stand to make better use of their legs. He is a bit too back foot reliant on his forehand. Good observation.

    What about intentionality before all of this? You need to have made your shot decision and location before these mechanics are in play.

    • @primetimepickleball
      @primetimepickleball  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, intentionality is important. In this video I’m specifically talking about key physical actions to take.

    With the influx of so many tennis players ( I am one as well as National ranking squash and other sports) I am seeing tennis being taught rather than pickleball. These are two different sports. The good news is that tennis players have a basic understanding of the footwork necessary to be a good pickleball player. This allows them to get to a higher ranking quickly but once achieved, their tennis habits limit their ability to go father up in ranking. For the beginner, most pickleball teachers are creating bad habits that limit long-term success.

    • @primetimepickleball
      @primetimepickleball  ปีที่แล้ว

      If a tennis player comes to pickleball and FULLY accepts that it's a different sport and is willing to learn, they will do well, because the skill set they come with can easily be adapted with some focus and effort. Yes, as with all sport, some coaches are better than others. Find a good one!
