How to catch SUCKERS!

Figuring out what the fish are interested in is how every fishing trip starts. A High-Low Rig with different types of bait on each hook is a great way to experiment with different baits to see what's working.
A true fisherman will search out opportunities to go fishing at any time and any place...even if it's for a couple hours before work!

Caught one this morning in Wisconsin on the Oconto river. It’s a nice 33 degrees and rainy 😂. Went home after my fingers stopped working.

Goggle eye or rock bass is the meanest fighter for it's size. I knew the fellow that had the Arkansas state record at only 1 pound and eight ounces. Wicked fighters. Great tasting and plentiful ( high limits) . Fun to catch jitterbugging at night.

Super nice sucker! I'm heading out in the morning to sucker fish a small creek near my house. I can them with jalapenos and olive oil, delicous! Subbed...Stay safe!

Got a certain amount of olive oil you add per pint or quart? About to can some tomorrow, caught a mess while fly fishing.

@@whiteyfisk9769 I fill the jar up to a little less than halfway after the fish is packed. The canning process will draw moisture out of the meat, so too much would result in the jar becoming overfilled…usually one or two tablespoons is plenty. Stay safe!

I like to set my drag reel low and use 1 ot circle hooks so they hook the. Self than run out a bit
