It's SO GOOD! Used mine for 4 days camping and still had sharp edge. It ruined my knife collecting. I've since sold a dozen Kizer's, TwoSun's, Benchmades, etc.
Today was truck day at work , and I brought Storm Trooper in. After breaking down 6 or 7 boxes - I had a dull knife and a blister on my index finger. It’s a light duty knife only.
@StevenWatson-tw5wb I would agree with the light duty conclusion. The Ganzo I showed there is a box monster, the flat grind helps, and the 440 stainless is definitely better than whatever the stormtrooper blade is. If it's truck day I'd have no problem grabbing the ganzo.
Great review and comparison! I don't know much about different kinds of knives, so I learned some today, too! Love that. That storm trooper knife would be great to get as a first knife for my boys, though. Thanks for sharing this information!
@@consumethegoodness it's definitely not the greatest knife in the world, but at $5 it is an introduction into the crossbar lock, and yea they would probably push it to the limits pretty quick and eventually want to move up in knife, get tired of having to sharpen it etc. which is a natural progression. Thanks for stopping by hope you have a great week!!
$5 is a great deal💰💰👌👌! The ozark stormtrooper looks awesome👌👌! Definitely an 8/10 if i was to rank it! Love how much you go into detail about the stormtrooper 👌👌👌👌! Massive like buddy👍! Gave it a full watch🙌 13:55
@steved1135 so far I think you can still get this white one online, and in some stores just check the Walmart app for availability in your nearby stores.
@zombiesnoop2977 keep checking, I think they started limiting to 5 on the website, so if they do another drop you might be able to grab one, also keep a check on your local stores from the app
Pretty sure the white Ozark trail is holiday only so get more now while you can. I have that little ganzo excellent knife just a little small for a good grip in my hand
@ryan93civic1 you're probably right about the Stormtrooper. Right on yea the ganzo is a bit small, I like it because I can have it with me always and it just blends in no matter what I'm wearing, nice and thin no thumb studs or window breakers to scratch up stuff in my pocket, still surprisingly sturdy. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
I like how you think. I just subscribed from just watching these two videos the one on the D2 and the white one. I too have bought them. I bought the white one today. I could’ve bought seven of them for gifts, but I didn’t lol. I’m with you. You can’t go wrong for the money. I probably have 50 knives that are better. A lot of them for different purposes like you said these two are just handy. You wouldn’t want to beat the crap out of them That would be silly. Good video.
Zero edge retention. I would rather spend an extra $30 and grab any other D2 knife from a well known company like Boker or Benchmade. OUTDOOR555 did a test on this and this knife is absolute dog water. It dulled and lost its edge after the lightest experiment I've ever seen in knife testing. I guess if you're not a knife person then just go ahead and throw away your money. Please do your DD and spend your money anywhere else if you are in the knife game.
@wrongplacerighttime I don't think you can get any real Benchmade for 30 dollars lol, maybe there are a couple Bokers but most are nowhere near that low. That said you're probably right about the edge retention on this one, but even with that it's hard to really complain about a knife that's cheaper than a cup of coffee lol. Have a nice day. 😎
Hell add 10 with it and buy a Ganzo 727s in well done 440c and actually have a good quality knife in your pocket. This ultra cheap stuff just isn't of any quality at all.
@Edcreviewer I do like my Ganzo 759M, it's a good one, looking at getting a 727 or 729...I think the main appeal of the walmart knives is walking into the store and buying them, which you can't do with Ganzo, so If you're only in town for a couple days, can grab an Ozark to fill the gap.
Knives I guess (TH-cam channel) cut cardboard for hours with it so I’m thinking there are some batches with bad heat treat but either way to each their own.

Most Chinese "mystery steel" is 3cr13, which isn't terrible. Not great, but not terrible.
@N2EWSRadio it could very well be 3cr13, totally possible, thanks for the comment

Great vid. I've looked for the D2 everywhere, and it's unavailable. Similarly, where is this one available??

The orange one is such a great knife especially for the $ . Why did they cheap out on the storm trooper??
@stephencharboneau7889 yea, for the design it would have been worth 5 more dollars to have better steel... a 440c would have been nice
