This is my favorite song of their current music! People, more often than not, only watch and listen to the surface layer without seeing what he's putting down under the surface. Pretty much every song he has is this way.. There's always something under the surface when Ronnie is concerned!
Addendum: you mentioned the cheesiness of certain things in the video. It was purposefully made to be cheesy and over the top...tongue and cheek he said.

I'm pretty sure the video going from Zombies to aliens to a giant kaiju is supposed to be a metaphor for how canceling and rumors spread out of proportion. It starts with something small but as the media picks it up, it turns into a completely different story.
