I'm old enough to remember when these "GUITAR GODS" came on the scene and stunned everyone with their blistering speed and technique. Over the years I've watched as one after another lost a step here and there (perfectly natural with age) but Greg just seems to get better! Seriously, what the f*ck! I know he's a few years younger than Schenker, Lynch and some of the others that inspired me to switched from drums to guitar, but his playing is actually getting smoother and more fluid after 30+ years on the scene! If he starts selling "Greg Howe's Guitar Tonic" on QVC sign me up for a few cases. ;-)
One of the few guys, in any instrument, who can actually play through the changes, and not over the changes... that's a rare thing, and he always keeps it interesting in his phrasing, feel and groove. Overall, amazing player with a strong musical legacy overall (his compositional style is quite unique, too, which is not always the case for most of the other great players out there).

Some misinterpreted this pedal.. This is more like a boost overdrive, so the overdrive is not that thick.. So if you want more drive, look for other overdrive pedals of the soul five, they have varieties of overdrive pedals..
Just got this pedal over the weekend and used it at one of my shows and right out of the box it was cutting out live the connectors are fine the cables were new I guess I just have a defective one but I think I’m just sticking with some of the brands that I’m used to doesn’t work well in a professional environment doing a very large show. But a great idea pedal .

One of the more underrated players out there, IMO. This was a fun video and that pedal sounded quite lovely, to boot. Then again, I rather suspect you could make anything sound good, Greg!
Greg is the ageless one. He could also take a Pawnshop "hockey stick" retro guitar with 4 strings, all rusty, and he'd still Kill. He's just that good.

Playing the changes is called "modal" and he's got that down...
