@@bigghoww no. A mechanical pencil is a pencil with very thin lead and you don’t have to sharpen them ever. You just click and it comes out. A lead holder however is pretty self explanatory. It’s a holder that holds one THICC (thick) piece of lead. Lead holders are perfect for sketches. Mechanical pencils are more for the final details and to add thicker lines but they are mostly used for writing. Lead holders are made almost especially for artists.

Seems like less detail. Harley is really clean, Joker is really rough, both look a bit unfinished. Still really interesting watching him go back and forth on poses with the initial sketch.
Yeah....ive been a Jim Lee fan since he was drawing on Uncanny X-men...and I certainly love everything he does...this just looks like he has his mind elsewhere somehow
He's a world class, top of his profession artist but this drawing just doesn't look like any of his previous drawings. This drawing looks like it was done by an ametuer straight out of high school. Don't see how people are saying it's an awesome drawing. I love his other streaming videos, I'm sure he's having an off day with this one
it would be nice to know how did you figure that out, i know nothing about paintings or drawings but it is hard to say that something from jim lee is amateur work, i think you need to be very sure about that (and i mean very very very...very sure)
Been a big fan of his since the 90's, love his artwork when he was working on xmen, image comics and batman. Look at his previous streams and artwork, theres a big difference between this joker/harley drawing and past work. I am not saying hes a horrible artist. But this... this is different, not up to his standards. In my opinion, this is not his best work for sure. Of course, Jim Lee is NOT an amateur, but this drawing looks like it was done by an amateur.
I think these types of comments are made to make yourself feel better about your own art while critizing someone who's miles ahead of you in any way. I think he's well aware that this sketch wasn't that great, for one he seemed he had some fever and wasn't in the mood for drawing but yet powered through it .

A side effect of him doing so many great pieces: this is by far the most underwhelming one I've seen yet. Or maybe I just had higher expectations for Harley Quinn and that guy with her.

This is an odd sketch... like fan art that someone sent to Jim to check out. Definitely one of his poorer efforts.
I think this guy is not 100% talent but a great amount of perseverance. He's far from the top mangakas IMO.
