Safe? Friendly. Our neighbor is from the south island like we are. He counted over 11 gangs in masterton off the bat he said gangs cant wear patches in masterton thats why you dont see them. Only NOMADs apparently, So off the topmof my head he named Head Hunters, Nomads, Black Power, Mongrel Mob, Tribesman, Highway 61, Bandidos, Mangu Kaha, Killer Bee's, Skinheads, CRIP's last week we had a gang shooting. Happens all the time. This is the only reason I question SAFE FRIENDLY. You know people used to drive past you in CHCH and wave and you would wave back even if you didnt know them. In masterton you get the finger poked tongues at you get asked whats your problem you cant smile at anyone talk to anyone ask anyone anything without confrontation.
