had a aqua forte heat pump for 4 weeks now ,nice bit of kit ,went from 14 c and now holding 20c not a problem in a 1500 gallon pond , got mine from uk koi supplies ,they have a good range of air source heat pumps
@@BlackCountryKoi got mine in my filter house ,venting outside , only problem is now my fish are smashing the food , can see a difference in the fish alot happyier , and growing like stink .
I believe your new heat pump is the same one that James the Koi Whisperer has. His seems to be getting on ok. Hopefully you won’t have any problems with the new one. Great video

Cracking bit of kit the aqua forte heat pump I'm running one on 2000 gallon and handles it with ease was still heating water at 3 degrees last week even though they say it only goes down to 5 degrees air temp
My old man use buy his pp back in the day from bootes and think have changs all about make money now keep going m8 make some gatilce food that help lot
Do you think air sorce heated is better than the electric pole heaters. Iv be looking at one myself, and it will not work on air temps below 10 degrees. And that's left me scratching my head a bit.
Hi peter , if im honest i thinknthe fish tank heaters did a great job and paird with an stc1000 or inkbird controller they were ver controlable Its my first year with an ASHP and im a bit like you where mine only goes down to 15 🤔 and personally i wold have liked around 8-10. For me its the cost saving on electric thats swayed me to the air soirce , 600watts compared to 1kw on the fish tank heaters 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@BlackCountryKoi thanks for me. I would not want to keep the pond at a reasonable temperature about 12/15 for winter to leave out the colder spots. But if the ASEP .will not go down to that temp, then I'm left thinking is it worth heating at all .I will see how you get on . And it has to improve for you now surely

Ok Dave use a hacksaw to cut a slot in top of the air pump screws & use a flat head or impact driver to loosen them 👍
