    Thank you so much, I couldn't find a tutorial for my Shindaiwa 488 rim socket replacement and this one did the trick!

    DO NOT put the piston all the way down , You have to bring the piston UP past the exhaust port , then put some rope in there and bring the piston up to where the clutch will not turn any more , or you will get rope in the ports.

    haha, excellent thank you, id been looking at £13 clutch removal tools online, never gave it a thought that a grinder spanner would work!! cheers bud!

    At 3:06, when you state you make sure the piston is all the way down, how do you do that, move the piston via the spanner wrench on the clutch and look inside?

    My 41 is the fastest cutting chainsaw I have ever owned and I have a owned a lot of them. The chain oiler has stooped working and that is why I am youtubing video's
    The local parts store says he does not carry the parts. I am not positive that it is the oiler( hoping a stopped up line) but need to get it off first

    Why take out the rope and put it back in? Doesn't make sense.
