    I'm playing this song in remembrance to a friend/coworker who lost a valiant battle to cancer. He was only 22. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this sad time. Rest now, brother, for your battle is at an end...

    I was listening to Primavera earlier today as I was doing my homework, and my sibilings thought it was depressing and wanted me to turn it off. I, in turn, asked them to look outside and watch the plants blow in the wind. These plants were blowing in sync with the music. It allowed them to not think and just relax. It also made them listen to what the melody is trying to say, not just what it sells from the first few notes. Try it with all of his music. It sort of works; very relaxing :)

    Quand j'écoute une musique de ce genre, après je n'arrive plus à écouter les musiques de "maintenant" que pourtant j'adore d'habitude... Mais c'est fou ce que ce mec arrive à faire avec juste un piano et parfois un violon, alors que maintenant pour faire un son les artistes d'aujourd'hui doivent avoir une quinzaine d'instruments différents et surtout un synthétiseur et un "arrangeur de voix" (je sais pas comment on dit). C'est le seul artiste avec lequel je suis en accord avec ma mère, et je commence à comprendre seulement maintenant (à 14 ans) à quel point les artistes d'aujourd'hui manquent de délicatesse, de talent et d'imagination... Enfin peut-être pas d'imagination étant donné à quels points ils adorent créer des trucs "nouveaux" et habituellement extrêmement désagréables à entendre, mais qu'on écoute quand même la première fois en faisant semblant d'aimer, et puis en aimant à force de faire semblant... donc peut-être pas d'imagination, mais peut-être de créativité et d'originalité. Et je le répète, j'ai 14 ans...

    • @tongrider12
      @tongrider12 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      tellement d'accord ! les vrais artistes sont font de plus en plus rare, et dans le piano les chansons récentes se ressemblent toutes. les seuls qui me touchent vraiment sont Ludivico Einaudi et Yann Tiersen. leurs morceaux sont aussi beaux à écouter qu'a jouer.

    • @clog3216
      @clog3216 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ce ne sont pas les artistes de maintenant qui sont forcément mauvais, mais ce sont surtout les médias (télé, radio, etc) qui ne diffusent que de la soupe, du commercial... Essayez par exemple d'écouter des genres plus "underground", ou considérés à tort comme passés de mode... Le metal par exemple est un genre extrêmement varié et riche, avec de multiples courants, et vous pourriez être surprise... La même chose vaut pour le rock.

    The beauty of Minimalism is that the listener can connect and flow with it on whatever level they choose, because of it's simplicity, so much can be left for the imagination; where, in more complex pieces, there is far too much mud and distraction and the true soul of the piece is buried under layers of musical psychosis. At least, that's how I hear it. Of course, Einaudi is a true master of this composition. Often, less IS more...

    A real musician, in my eyes, should not complain about another's music, nor should they be jealous. They should appreciate all types of music, whether it appeals to them or not. A song could be as simple as a 3 chord progression or it could be more complicating. The way I see it, is that if somebody writes music to express feelings, whether it be instrumental or vocal, then it should all be worth listening to... and should at the least be respected :)
