I have an Air Arms S510 TDR and I have a huge problem with disassembling this rifle. My AA has a protection on the tension side in the form of a truncated screw with a cone at the end. I don't know how to remove it.

Another excellent video well documented and easy to follow. I have an early AA S510 Extra FAC version and was wondering if it has a regulator fitted as standard. I was also wondering if the power adjuster could be easily changed/modified to the same notched version as the newer S510 Ultimate Sporter which has 5 distinct power settings. Tks in advance.

From a tuning point of view could you remove small amounts from the hammer on the none contact surfaces to lighten the hammer and reduce the power to just under 12 with the port screw
fully out, thus hopefully sharpening the lock time without getting too in depth and changing spring tensions and the like, the reason I ask is I have an HFT 500 that makes the best part of 14 ftlb
with the port screw fully out, and in all honesty I would sooner it be a little sharper on the lock time as opposed to chocking it down below 12.

Hello Sir,
Thank you for a super, instructional video. May I ask your advice, please?
Is it a good idea in general to cock a pcp before filling with air? I have heard of this and thought the idea being was to get a little bit extra air, a few more shots before having to refill the cylinder. Would another section be open, maybe the regulator?
I also didn't know you could de- cock a pcp, I thought you always had to fire the shot off. I was afraid of damaging the internals? It would be really handy to de-cock and not have that noise.
I live in a terraced row and although my initial neighbours are fine, I'd rather they didn't hear those noises. On this particular topic, the less they hear and know, the better.
Generally, people see anything ressembling a gun and knowing nothing about them, expect the worst, when its nothing of the sort.

Hi Yes i always cock the rifle before filling from empty it takes the load off the valve and makes it easer to fill in some cases, you can De-cock most pcp's it will not damage anything as long as you hold the lever/bolt as you pull the trigger 😀
