I bought this when released and it is superb. I use it on every track in some way. Being very familiar with the original I cannot tell the difference and its sound is still as captivating and lush as it always was. I love my UAD!
One of the cool things about the 224 is the shape of the tail, regardless of length, always stays present in a mix. Even with very short times there's a 'bloom' to it that makes a little go a long way.
Quick thing for new users or even old ones: this reverb is incredibly good for the reverse reverb trick. A lot of verbs don't do a good job but this one is especially fantastic for it. Trust me, try it.
Outstanding video Matt! I love the slapback effect of lowering the bass/mid and turning up the Pre-Delay. Also very informative about the IMMED button...Thanks and Cheers!
You could make it have ducking by putting a compressor plug-in with sidechain input on it and set the key input to the source you want to cause the ducking.
I just bought this plugin but when I download it it keeps taking me back to the download manager as if it’s not downloading. Is this a standalone plugin or do I need to have something else to make it work?
Just making sure - assuming it's the same plugin that is on sale at Plugin Boutique now, I'm wondering if I'll run into any issues with my non-UAD setup. I'm using a Fractal FM3 with Cubase on Windows 11, so I'm guessing I definitely need 64-bit VST 3.X.
Hello team UAD, Toady i received my Apollo twin x duo, Uad version 10.0.0 is compatible with mac os monterey, now is it necessary to use Reduced Security option in mac os recovery setup or it will run easily in m1pro MacBook, natively ?
when setting the timing of the decay to the song tempo I never really know the relationship between bass and treble decay. let’s suppose I have a 4sec decay for treble , what should be the bass.? I read a few very complex articles about reverberation and I got the number 1.25 times the trebles timing for bass. However I see programs in the 224 that has less bass decay than treble. Can you elaborate ? Thanks
i bought some plug ins in good faith including this one. sadly the GUI is all blurry and it is unusable. ive had loads of suggestions as to what to do but nobody really knows. They're just making educated guesses. Shame. I was really looking forward to using them.
Hi, I don't own any hardware but I want to BUY plugins. Can I buy any of the plugins than can be used with Spark and use them natively after purchasing them? I don't want to do any subscription. Please let me know, I need to know this. Thanks.
Yes, you can buy the native plugins included in Spark (if you don’t want subscription) and you don’t need any UAD hardware. Now UAD hardware is needed only for those plugins which are not available as ‘Native’ as yet. They are gradually adding more plugins in the native format though.
Matt seems a humble and transparent guy, and have a much better diction than Ben. On the other side, Matt definitely talks a bit fast, not convenient when you are showing the potential use of a plugin for everybody's understanding. Regarding Ben, he was a bit snobbist in some of their statements during his videos... when you make these kind of videos for your customers and potential customers, subjective comments about the quality of the source tracks and how UAD-2 plugins improves it dramatically, it's far from being credible and it's also a bit arrogant to be honest. Fyi, I'm a loyalty user of UAD since the very beginning, owning 3 octo core cards with almost all the plugins of the platform. Love them.
☝🏽☝🏽 Stephen Lipson used the hardware on Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Propaganda and "Slave to the Rhythm" because he wasn't comfortable with the Quantec.
@@BobbyBriscoeBeats It sure is. There’s no doubt about that. The thing is you get the lexicon presets in Altiverb 7. I might get the demo and compare it to Altiverb 7 to see if it’s clearer.

thanks, will try that :) which algorithm do you prefer for that ?
No, you can’t make me
uad is unbelivable. the videos are the best training i have ever found. Spark is game changing. thank you UAD for being a awesome company
🥂
That last tip of using the “immediate” button to audition programs is 💯
🥂
Used it since day 1 when released, i used Avid Dock to edit parameters pretty much same work flow as LARC remote.. long time 480L user..
I think this is my best reverb plug-in

I did not like this reverb when I still had my UAD hardware. But I tried it again with Spark. And now I think it's my best reverb plugin 😁😁
Boom!!
So glad we can get this on Spark!
What the hell is Spark? Some kind of subscription con?
@@oinkooink It's good for those who don't have UAD hardware.
@@kitmateyawa7829 You don't need UAD hardware to run most UAD plugins.
I just got the Spark set up I'm loving these plugins.. 👍🏿👍🏿
this was a great tutorial man! thanks for doing it in Ableton!
So delicious plugin! UA Forever! Peace
🥂
Very Nice quick tutorial!
Wow i can't for Windows
this reverb is a beast
I like that slap trick, it'll be definitelyuseful for me...
If youre gonna do demos can you please do a demo of what it’s like off then on so can actually tell what’s different
Thanks.Does this have Ducking? If not can you recommend another UAD reverb that has ducking?
You could make it have ducking by putting a compressor plug-in with sidechain input on it and set the key input to the source you want to cause the ducking.
What is that little keyboard you have?
I LOVE UAD ❤, but please, can you make the SSL 4000 E Native 😢😢😢😢

Yes! All of our native plug-ins are available as 64-bit VST3 and don't require any additional hardware.
@@UniversalAudio Thanks very much!
@@UniversalAudiounfortunately all your native plugins require the internet to work :(
Does someone know how to load my presets on the same plugin in a DAW? I can only see the default presets

That change doesn't have anything to do with Monterey and is still required.
@@UniversalAudio ok
How to do this setup on MacBook Pro M1 pro ? There is no power button on the laptop, how will I get into the recovery mode ?
The fingerprint sensor is the power button.

It's up to you. Many times you want a lot less bass decay because it can muddy-up the bottom end. So experiment see where you want to land.

Name of vocal track?
Nothing on the chorus fx?
Why uad-2 version 224 didn't get high-resolution GUI?

I buy a ucb c cable from Apple, is it connects and run fine with Apollo twin x duo or I need Thunderbolt cable ?

If you own UAD hardware, you can buy the UAD versions and the natives come free with no sub.

These UAD reverb plugins are good, but nothing compared to Altiverb 7 or East West Spaces II. I’ve also heard that 7th Heaven is very good!
The lexicon is a proven classic

Jan Hammer, Don't You Know.

VanGelis, with a hard G.
Would be far easier to distinguish this plugins' qualities if a more natural, and unaffected vocal was chosen. Terrible choice.
The arturia version has an advanced view.. This one doesn't I guess..
That vocal sounds like a queef.
