I'm hearing Drum And Bass making a huge comeback. Tuned into a pop stream the other day and every track, I MEAN EVERY SINGLE TRACK, had that beat-shifted 2nd kick and tempo jacked way up. It's everywhere again
Thanks Alice for another amazing tutorial! :) (swede here) The song "unforgettable" by Marcus & Martinus was very interesting for me. I like the intro lead way more than the actual main lead but I have no idea how to recreate it, this video might get me into right directions. As with the upcoming trends theres no doubt DnB making it topping the charts and will be mainstream. Question is, how long will it last? Even pop artists use DnB break beats in their new released songs in 2024. I heard that the reason for this is that the younger audience who uses Tik Tok loves the oldschool DnB break beats and some artists followed up creating new DnB songs. Some say thats how it all started but just some rumours fred again.. have made huge success with some new DnB songs released this year.
Hello, Yalcin Efe. I just remade one of my tracks made in Udio: split the song into stems using Bandlab, replaced generated beats with manual ones, polished some stems and extended it.
What was once called future pop now actually got pop finally :) I am celebrating arpeggiated plucks and gated rhythmic vocal chops getting their comeback
Somewhere something comes out of the void and raps random lines: "Tyree Cooper, the producer..." "Get, get, get, get busy" "Now when I'm down on the microphone stand / I give you all the dope lyrics and / Introducing the band / To make you understand / How this is planned / I demand..."
Thank you Alice , good information for sure , I want to ask if there is a simpler explanation to those concepts for new producers ? Would really appreciate that
I dont think Splice has any saying on it once you have your own melody and lyrics. Just use it as a starting point and change it to your liking afterwards.
@@Alice-Efe This is a complex issue. The original must fade behind the changed one, as required by European copyright laws, for example. You would have to change the lyrics, notes and rhythm to be on the safe side. But most people just change the voice and think it's okay. Unfortunately, Splice sees it differently. I think that a vocoder is a stronger modification and no copyright holder says anything against that. BTW, take a look at SynthesizerV software for AI voice synthesis.
Are you sure that "Rap in Techno" is new? Remember "2 Unlimited"? Or "Culture Beat"? OK, the 2nd one is not really Techno. But Rap in Techno is not a new phenomenon. Everything comes back at a certain time. Like always. Your demonstration though was great. The pluck hing reminds me directly of Faithless. The pluck sound itself is everywhere. And so, it's getting a bit boring over time. And to be honest, it's something I heard in the Nineties in Eurodance. But also here: Nice presention how to do it. The gated vocals are also not a new thing. But it's amazing how you did it. Well done. Overall, those trends were trends that were well known during the Nineties. And well, I still miss this time. I'm afraid that this current hype destroys the memories of the good old days. Back then you had to be careful what you did. These days it's much easier than in the good old times. Let's see which of the three trends stand the test of time.
@@Positive_Tea Ive made a track house track (pretty hard house I dont know genres well) and it has a trap instrumental verse in it, It goes very well, also listen to skrillex, going to rap to jersey to techno it goes really well
@@DarkTrapStudio I don't like the lyrical content of trap vocals, but I get the connection of the grimey streets (trap) to the grimey warehouse (techno). Alice's tune here works incredibly well though. Slaute!
@@Positive_Tea No problem :) But you are misunderstanding something, there no "trap vocals" lyrics, there is just lyrics, the lyrics depend on the artist not the genre.
I am not sure what you mean. Don't get me wrong I love love love Faithless but that style of arpeggio and even that melody existed many many years before Faitless. It is one of the most common type of arpeggio style. If you mean that the Eurovision song is too similar to Salva, that is another topic. What I am trying to teach here is theory behind that type of arpeggio and sound design. It is up to you and the artist to come up with more unique melodies and harmonies.
@@Alice-Efe Yes, Evrovision song is what meant by ripoff. Regarding copying others, i dont mean just arpeggio. Doing hiphop techno or anything for that matter just because its trendy...dont know, people should be motivated to break the trends and not to conform. But then again what do i know, i guess im too old school

I would love to see DnB making a big come back. Hope it happen! 🥳
It’s happening now
Rising trends for 2024:
- Melodic Techno with Trance Bass
- Hard Agressive Ostinatos
- 90's sounding like snare
thank you, this was inspiring ..... need to try things out
I’m am looking forward to hear what you will come up with ❤️
you're fiery when the beat makes your head bob 😍

Thanks a lot Alice! As always tons of secret weapons for production...😁😀😀
I am more than happy to show all I know ❤ thank you for commenting!
Lots of talent
Why is this channel so good

Rapping over house/techno. We called it Hip-House back in the 80's
Woop!

There is a lot of trance coming back, which is pretty awesome
Techno is more trancy these days than trance
@@marcellkovacs5452 Techno became trance, trance became house, house became pop 😂 That's the shift thats happening hahah
Your videos are incredibly inspiring! Thank you so much for sharing these skills!
the 90s comming on strong again :)

your serum skins so cool~
yet another impeccable tutorial
The MIDI second trick is something I observed in Adriatque X future track
Techno with rap from 1997 Thomas Schumacher “When I Rock” still 🔥
thank you for this video, recently i find the vst synthplant 2 , with an waves of a sound yuou can recreate the preset, amazing ;)
Nice video 👍
But which DAW is that other than Ableton Live?
It is not a DAW but MIDI AI vocal app, link is on description. 😊
@@Alice-Efe Ok thanks 😃
"The Prodigy" was already doing this 30 years ago! 🫀🫀🫀
Nothing is new. People were also remixing popular rap songs as trance remixes in the 2000-2010’s as well.
Fat Boy Slim, Asian Dub Foundation, and many more... Much of the mainstream '90s waslike that.
Not to mention the underground scene.
Man that pop melody is pretty much exactly the melody of Faithless - Salva mea, just with less variation. Sound is dead similar too.
haha, yup! it is quite similar. 😅
Nice one. I will definitely try this one. It sound very clean. I tried another ai voice app but that does not even come near this one.
Good luck with it!
is better use peak mode in compression sidechain?
Splice does not allow to change vocal voices with AI. I did contact their copyright department. I hope they will change that in future.

Rap vocals and techno ... eurodance 2.0?
Me hoping that "Techno Hop" meant using techno sounds at Hip Hop tempos and rhythms
I mean that may sound cool, you should try it! 🤯
GIRLS. Did you hear this ? “OPEN A.I. MY SUGAR PAPI !”. A flashing mulatta PEACHY da Whuupi seems to know more. Heard on Spotify and You Tube music.
#1 would completely DESTROY people's roll, just by dropping one of those tracks. maybe drop it at the end of the night to send folks home.
The rap n hip hop vocals isn’t new at all… it’s just blown up into the mainstream
Alice, I am willing to find rappers for you. let me know if you are interested
Tell them send me demos at biskuwiofficial@gmail.com 🙏
Techno and trap do NOT mix! Hahaha
haha that is what I thought until I started enjoying it lol 😅

Rip off from Faithless - Salva mea. Whats the point of teaching how to do copy others. Music should be about originality...
That's how you create new music or art in general, by copying others first

I’m older school, folk music copied each other and added their own touch. Same with every style of music ever.
