He says: "I'd unhesitatingly say the basic reason for our success etc., etc., Our illustrious predecessors of the mountain..." SV Hillary interview... he says: "Main worry though-out rest of ascent was oxygen. Etc., etc., relief that we got there." SCU Hillary interview... he says: "Tensing and I had been climbing together as good deal and were a happy pair and this is an example of how a pair roped together are a unit" (He then tells of fall.) "pulled me up before I fell very far..." SV Tensing interview, off screen voice translates, he was very happy.

    Colonel John Hunt and Edmund Hillary received a knighthood, but Tensing Norgay could not accept it as Indian Prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru didn't allow Tensing to receive such honour representing British authority during imperialism. However, public records about this remain closed...
