If I understood it correctly, the stopper always pops out when the binding is not with the pins to the back. So I can effectively only use 3 climbing aids, flat, middle and high, but I can't walk when the pins are facing forward and I use those climbing aids? (because the stopper will be active?)

The Evo is finally a very good product after significant problems with button for the stopper which would release the stopper when climbing. There is also significant problems with the Front 12 stopper system which does not close properly leaving the stopper engaged. The Evo stopper system solves these problems. Atk did not admit the problems but discreetly worked on better system. Up to now the stopper was the achilles tendon of Atk bindings. Other than those issues they are great rando bindings and the Evo stopper system is now reliable.

What is ATK's Warranty? Would be purchasing from the US. Thanks!

What is the heel/toe drop on the Raider EVO? What shim works for the toe?

Hi Seth! The heel/toe drop in ski mode is 11.2mm. We designed a toe shim precisily for the EVO Collection, it's AL14 on our catalogue and measures 4mm. Thank you fot the interest in our products and let us know if you have other questions about them!

@@ATKBINDINGS Thank you for your reply another question? Does the EVO AL14 shim come with longer screws?

I’m a bit confused - there isn’t a din setting for the front piece. Does that one pop out or does it stay clamped on until you manually release it?

There’s independent DIN settings for both toe and heal. Which is Something that has never been done before on a binding in this category.

When can I get the toe piece actuated brake you hypothesized on the Gear30 Podcast?

What amount of elasticity is there in the toe piece before it releases?

i had a serious injury because of the unreliable raider binding. I can't recommend anyone and I won't buy any ATK products anymore. the bindings from other manufacturers have always worked reliably. lightweight is useless if the function doesn't fit, the main task of a binding. now i use reliable bindings again, eg the fritschi tecton. heavier but safer.

Lmao calling fritschi reliable. Atk isnt perfect, neither is any manufacturer. But fritschi is one of the least reliable.

It’s a tech binding. You take a bigger risk when using it compared to a alpine style front release. If you don’t understand that, you should not use a tech binding. It’s that simple. ATK makes some of the best tech bindings, but they are still just that.
