I myself don't think it is about balance per say as it is about strength......it takes strength to do all those things he did....being balance or swinging or flipping you have to be strong in all aspects and then whatever sport you do im sure it makes it easier to accomplish....i remember being able to do that stuff like swinging on the jungle gym and doing the monkey bars and walking the balance beam and it helped me do things easier when i was 13 years old, that was 52 years ago......now im lucky to be able to go grocery shopping and loading the truck and then coming home and going up a flight of stairs while wrestling the screen door on the way up with a handful of bags

i think the first stuff he was doing was just showing the results of his hard work not exactly his workout routine
