Nice. I'm looking at building a 5x8 or maybe a 6x8 this summer. I love winter camping, but if I'm not backpacking, tent camping is just becoming a pain in the butt with hanging the tent to dry and all that. I tend to go to the state park campgrounds around me in the winter just because of the electric. A conversion would make getting out for the weekend a lot more relaxing.

Thanks! I totally agree, all the setup and takedown of the camping gear (and then the drying out process once you get home) gets tired when you camp alot. being able to hitch up and hit the road with your stuff ready to go, and hit a grocery store in route for food makes enjoying the outdoors so much more relaxing.

This came out really well, especially the cut-out with your logo. As someone who's never done carpentry or installation/construction. Could you tell me why your countertop is getting mounted before the walls are finished?

Yeah, it does look odd that way right? :) I wanted the countertop to be supported by the lower wall, and then have the upper wall which will just be 1/4 inch plywood overhang the counter so that it looks clean where the counter goes into the wall. That way there is no opportunity for crumbs to fall between the countertop and wall.

Great video. You made a comment about a hot & cold faucet will leak if you only use cold. Where will it leak from ? The hot water inlet? Ok to just cap it? Thank you

Thanks! Yes, it would leak from the hot inlet. Caping it would solve that. They probably sell something that would work, but I've never looked.

I'm curious about your glue up. After you ripped the 2x4s what surfaces did you edge glue? From what I could tell it looks like the fresh cut surface seems to be facing up but I'm not sure. If so that would mean the glue surface was the original 2x4 edges, or did you joint or otherwise "flatten" those surfaces for glue up?

Yes, you are correct, it was essentially the original 2x4 longer side (the 4) which I ran through the planer just to flatten them out for glue.
