I've read The Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom after watching Shadow and Bone with zero expectations only to be surprised at the awesome characters that are the Crows. Couldn't put the books down. Though I wouldn't classify them as something that would alleviate anxiety 😅 considering all the scrapes they manage to get themselves into and the sheer desperation for survival.

It was the only movie i have seen Firstday first show in imax bcoz wanted to see how some one would be so crazy to film this story.
I just couldnt believe how anglee managed to make the movie. Perhaps thats why he got oscars

Hahaha, I know that feeling. It's like FOMO but with books and a result of hustle culture, to quickly quickly get there, keep getting all the dopamine from the new experience of reading another book. I try to remind myself you can only do one thing at a time and that I am going to read the other book later, so no need to get anxious about missing the dopamine from that. Yearning for something else while doing one thing will just poison the experience. Can't say I succeed at it. But it works more and more the more I remind myself that when it happens.

Not to be a stickler or anything, but since it was repeated for like multiple times, why do people keep pronouncing Stephen as Stephen? It's Steven. 'Ph' is pronounced 'v'.
