There were harmful gases that could burn eyes and skin so they couldn't get too close. Also there's a cyclone passing through there rn, so the water doesn't hit straight because of the winds. They put it out 2 days ago though.

There's a cyclone passing through the area right now, so it's hard to get the water to spray straight with the harsh winds. Also, the chemicals are leaking harmful gases and they can't get too close. They're doing what they can little by little.

Because it contains 25 tons of high concentrations of nitric acid and other highly concentrated chemicals that react with water. Therefore, they cool the air particles drawn by the water towards the fire according to the direction of the wind over a calculated period of time. Combustion exhaust gases cannot be used for this purpose as they require a large quantity. They are right 👍

I just searched and it is used to make ammonium nitrate (used in fertilizers) and is an incredibly power explosive material examples are Oklahoma City bombing and the most recent (and terrifying) was the massive explosion in Beirut. Very very odd that this much was being shipped at one time.
