Additional information: There are six 24,000 TEU container ships that were built and completed in Japan in the past six months and are currently being chartered and in operation overseas: ONE INNOVATION, ONE INFINITY, ONE INTELLIGENCE, ONE INGENUITY, ONE INSPIRATION, and ONE INTEGRITY. ●Hull ・Corporate color magenta (cherry blossom color) ・Length 399.95m ・Width 61.40m ・Gross tonnage: 235,000 tons ・Air draft 73.5m (height from water surface to top of mast is equivalent to a 20-story building) ・Launching screw 10m/100 tons ●Loading capacity ・24,136 20-foot containers. ・On deck (above deck): 24 rows, maximum 13 stacks ・Inside hold (ship hold): 12 stacks ●Features Using the latest analysis technology, we developed an optimal hull form that pursues high efficiency according to the ship's speed and draft, which are frequently used in operation. This allows for more flexible service provision in line with customer needs. It also supports CA containers, which can be filled with nitrogen to preserve the freshness of fruits and vegetables while transporting them by sea. ・In conventional ships, various navigation instruments and steering equipment such as radar, ECDIS (electronic chart system), and main engine remote control system were placed separately, but a seated integrated navigation system INS (Integrated Navigation System) and an all-weather bridge are adopted to enable efficient operation even with a small number of people. The size of these container ships along with cruise ships and oil tankers is getting absolutely ridiculous, it's just a disaster waiting to happen where marine and wildlife will suffer and pay the price.
I’d like to know more about the drive train. I know some cargo ships use the piston engine to turn an electric generator, which in turn powers separate electric drive motors. Similar to diesel electric train locomotives, but steerable. This eliminates the drive shaft and rudder. I wonder if the new ships described here, use this hybrid arrangement.
So I did a little math. Theres no way that ship carries 23,000 containers. Just count 1 row down and across and do the math from there. I came up with 3,360 containers.
When you see numbers like 24,000, they measure TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit). The most common containers nowadays are 40ft, so it's half that number. Also, you probably counted the containers above the deck, but they go down inside the hull for 10-15 levels, so if you count those, you'll end up near half the TEU number.
I don't know what you counted, but this green ship at end is around 24x32x17 = 13 056 Minus 1/5 bc edges are squared and there is big gap in containers in middle. 13 056 * 80% = 10 445 containers Like the other guy said, there can be containers under deck. Even the ship at start has 24x24x9 = 5 184 Thats a lot far from 3 000.
ONE THING I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND IS THE FACT THAT WHEN THESE MASSIVE SHIPS ARE IN HUGE STORMS OR SINK, ALL THOSE CONTAINERS DON'T FLOAT. YES, WE KNOW THE WEIGHT OF THEM BUT CURRENT TECHNOLOGY CAN OVERCOME THIS AND SAVE TRILLIONS IN LOST GOODS!!!
because massive production, the world most advance logistical system and the only complete heavy industry system in the world enable china to build these ships at a lower price. remember, china can build all heavy industry products from ore .

So I did a little math. Theres no way that ship carries 23,000 containers. Just count 1 row down and across and do the math from there. I came up with 3,360 containers.
Like seriously😂😂😂 those containers are no way near 10 000 let alone 20 000🤣🤣🤣
When you see numbers like 24,000, they measure TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit). The most common containers nowadays are 40ft, so it's half that number. Also, you probably counted the containers above the deck, but they go down inside the hull for 10-15 levels, so if you count those, you'll end up near half the TEU number.
I don't know what you counted, but this green ship at end is around 24x32x17 = 13 056
Minus 1/5 bc edges are squared and there is big gap in containers in middle.
13 056 * 80% = 10 445 containers
Like the other guy said, there can be containers under deck.
Even the ship at start has 24x24x9 = 5 184
Thats a lot far from 3 000.
I wish the ship in the thumbnail was real
Welcome fellow nerds and bored folk.
I wonder how bad it would be if that LNG reached room temperature? I'm glad its clean, but how dangerous is that?
Probably nothing, but the engines can't run on NG.
Wow amazing
simply awesome...
Can I order one on Amazon?🚢
😂
4:01 Americans will use anything but the metric system
145 Million aint bad!
Oh no, it's another Evergreen.
Remember suez canal? Yes, that vessel!😅
What about the children inside the containers?
60 wind turbines - oh please lolololol🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣
METU TĖK NĖRA NESPELIOK 😂NES KANTRIBĖ DINKSTA
What about Maersk Triple E?
EVERGREEN made in china 👀🔥
ONE THING I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND IS THE FACT THAT WHEN THESE MASSIVE SHIPS ARE IN HUGE STORMS OR SINK, ALL THOSE CONTAINERS DON'T FLOAT. YES, WE KNOW THE WEIGHT OF THEM BUT CURRENT TECHNOLOGY CAN OVERCOME THIS AND SAVE TRILLIONS IN LOST GOODS!!!
The photoshopped thumbnail 😂
It's a plague
how can they be built so Cheaply ??? just the cost of the Steel would cost that much?
It’s Made out of Cheap Impure Chinese Steel. 😳😬😱💥
The Titanic had Better Steel.
😂😂
because massive production, the world most advance logistical system and the only complete heavy industry system in the world enable china to build these ships at a lower price. remember, china can build all heavy industry products from ore .
@@melindagreen3023 u r jealous of what china can do while ur country is never able to do.
Intéressant !
I thought the thumb nail was exaggerated but that has become reality now . 😳 Massive...
1:42 you mean the draft?
If they need to get on the lifeboats in rough seas, how would that work? Wouldn't they get squished by falling containers?
I think you missed out MSC Turkiye.
What are the companies that engineer these ships?
Engineering by SAMSUNG and Hyundai
Constructed by SAMSUNG
