- This is what we know about the Automatons from Helldivers 2. Helldivers is a top-down shooter game developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game was released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita in March 2015. Helldivers 2 is a third-person shooter developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game is the sequel to Helldivers, a 2015 top-down shooter. It was released for PlayStation 5 and Windows on 8 February 2024.

Actually, it’s not a bad idea-In real life, people aren’t trained to shoot for the head because it’s harder to hit than shooting center mass. Also, we don’t know what the Automatons are: they could be robots or made from people. There is enough evidence that the Automatons are using humans to make more of them.
Considering the weakspots of real life tanks, Automata designs are actually pretty damn well armored, regardless of the weakspots obviousness. Any tank can and will be destroyed from behind
The auto cannon is amazing to destroy Hulks, 2-3 headshots and it dies
Agree, it's arguably the best secondary weapon, although i do like the expendable rocket purely for the super short CD and you get one for you and a friend

The Anti-Material Sniper Rifle & Railgun on unsafe 1-2 headshots the Hulk.
The auto cannon is by far my favorite support weapon, even if it does take up a backpack slot.
Being able to 1 or 2 shot the 'evil AR-RTs' is phenomenal!
Depending on aim I can confidently say that its a guaranteed 2 Shots to the Head.
Kinda wish they'd drop us an Airburst Autocannon for peppering those bugs out the skies
I think automatons might take kids away when they invade in order to turn them into sympathizers, it would be a very interesting twist if when the hell divers invade their core worlds they find humans fighting alongside automatons.
I find it strange that after their initial overwhelming offensive, the Automatons proceeded to take an almost purely defensive posture in the Galactic War.
plan A: Jammer, is down. they are definitely getting ready for something though, Xzar sector is under attack as we speak.
and with escalation going the way it does we may witness the return of Warlords or even Siege Mechs.

The automatons only want Cyberstan, as per the true translation of one of their messages to Super-Earth, the will not enslave, kill, or control any humans after the war, they merely want their home back and to liberate the Cyborgs from slavery. Their first message was also a singular Chinese character that breaks down into the vague phrase 'work together'
As of today not anymore, we’ve got them cornered, pretty soon we’ll have them all scrapped and recycled to build more super destroyers

Honestly....i think the humanoid shape is there to accommodate the spatial awareness and natural locamotion of a human brain being used as an inexpensive processor.
Bots probably see themselves as “waking people up” or getting conscripts when they capture butcher and turn civilians into bots absolutely horrifying

When I first saw the video with the robot running with the baby I thought, “Haha, funny propaganda!”
Then I saw what the automatons were doing to the settlers of the planets they invaded and realized they might literally be taking babies to chop them up and put their brains in a robot body

I saw Automatons running away!
I was stalked by a lone bot whom, when I turned to face them, vanished.
Just then an even more bizarre one occurred.
A lone bot walk up to my friend prepping the ICBM and then... walking away... walking. I was so shocked I just stood there and watched it, wishing I had a recording or something! Didn't even think about shooting at it till it was long gone, and ... honestly ... it felt wrong to try.

The four thrusters yes, I've had my best luck with dropships using expendable rockets or the spear.

Grenade launcher is your friend for bots. Everything up to tanks and hulk die quick to nades.
Fun fact,
The shield devistator can easily be killed if you focus fire his galling gun ammo backpack, takes like one clip and seems to be light armor.
The rocket one can also be staggered shooting the rocket pods with small arms.
Also, rocket and all troopers will miss a lot if you are simply shooting in their general direction. The more stuff flying at them, the more likely they are to miss.
So if you have to run away, just blind fire at them. It lowers their acc.
Also, don't forget everyone's favourite! The tank turret tower. Oof. Keep your eyes out for them.
Those towers are very dangerous... often blow you apart with out even seeing them

I usually sneak up on a bot factory with ⬆➡⬇➡. Very sneaky!
I will add that the Jet Pack Automatons only explode if you kill them via firing center of mass. If you kill them via a headshot or taking out their legs, they won't explode. Since its the Jet pack blowing up due to malfunctioning from taking hits.
The lady on the ship says the cyborgs from the first game were sent to work in mines, the automatons are more extreme version of the cyborgs

I’ve found that the diligence counter sniper rifle is quite effective at killing berserkers being medium penetrating as well as having a decent amount of damage, it’s only real problem would be the lack of ammunition you have with a mere fifteen rounds of ammo and can take one or two magazines just to kill one of them.

It is worth noting that Hulks also explode on death. In fact, it is possible to destroy their weakpoint at the back and still have them be active for a short while before they crumble down and explode.
Be very careful with those, and dont celebrate your victories too soon.
Another interesting note, I’ve managed to destroy hulks using the P-4 Senator revolver believe it or not, you just gotta get a few shots into its back weakpoint, first time I did it, was purely by accident next thing I know it falls and explodes, was pretty sweet and awesome
@@banditlord8210 Yeee, the Revolver is pretty neat like that because it can actually damage the weakspot on Hulks and Tanks.
I have done the same thing with tanks as well but it takes a while.

At the end of the day a bots a bot and what’s one bot to the other? Considering that they’re all kinda well trying to kill me and I never really took the time to check on what color heads they had.
These bots are much different, they are not like the bugs, there ability to plan and form formations make them a foe much more dangerous, so placing defences and funding more to the war effort with these machines is a logical and nescery option or else they will cut though but we wont give them a easy fight.

The origins of automatrons is known; What is this narrator talking about?! They were human miners that started modifying their bodies so they can survive on the mining planets. At a certain point there was a disagreement between the miners and Super Earth where the Automatrons diverged from the humans (in a nutshell).
