The big difference between these and the chinese ones is the control layout. It is MUCH MUCH better on these. Almost like the person who made them actually controlled a real one. I'm sold!!
I'd like too, but not sure how well it will work for actual digging. I was thinking SAND would be good, but then I thought legos might work well when it's crappy out.
You 2 absolutely crack me up ! Thoroughly enjoy your channel .. Enjoyed seeing the wife fly the other day also... She's a little cutie , I mean that respectfully . TH-cam needs more family friendly content like you produce... Keep up the good work it's appreciated..
I met this guy about 2 years ago when my brother and I came to his house to do some flooring work. And I can say that, in person he is just as a nice of a man as he is in videos. He definitely enjoys talking and playing with all his "toys". He also has a big knowledge on all of this stuff. I remember we spent about 3 hours talking and flying some of his planes. It was AWESOME. Since then, I never miss one of his videos.
TORTUGAH - Thanks so much for the kind words! It was super fun that day, showing you the Sport Cub S UMX and the Viper Jet, and the EC1500 ;) P.S. The carpet looks great still - Thanks!!!
Hot glue application to the clutch drive gear, spring, this will not lock up the clutch as the glue is soft, but will give you another 40% digging power, just do the stick first, top ram, may be enough, if not do both.....
Excellent review Brian! I bought the CAT articulating dump truck and the 950M wheel loader and I absolutely love them! I've been eyeing this excavator as well!
The Excavator is the funnest of the batch. It's hard to DIG anything solid, so maybe sand or dry beans would work good...also RICE is a great choice, or salt. I just want to DIG from one to the other. We had another Excavator for my sons fifth or sixth birthday party, where we DUG the cake - that was so fun!
I seen this pop up very cool. This is Owen, Bryan this video was very enjoying to watch and did you know I run those machines 😉 I'm a licensed heavy equipment operator union (local OE955) and I'm currently running a cat 785 mine truck or heavy haulers as we call them here. I got my own collection of die-cast equipment
I have a multi-protocol T8SG Jumper, and I LOATH the setup. I hate going through every protocol only to NOT find the one I need. I hate the wasted time.
I'm sure I heard you say made in the USA, the one I've just purchased says made in China, its very light and I'll have to lock the gearboxes so they don't click and add weight to the underframe area 👍
They share most of the software from the Topack, Huina models and gear trains, while not proportional, they are quite easy to operate....but will not dig very well, only very soft dry sand....until clutches slip....
I wish I could get one that REALLY works well, without getting into a $5000 investment. If I want to invest that kinda cash, I'll get a old used one for doing REAL digging ;)
Tbh, the control is not that bad, I have all proportionally models and yours is quite controllable, slow in fact, I am going to get one of these , just to compare..
Actually, no. Right stick is boom and bucket, and left stick is stick and swivel, but the boom control is backwards, you push forward and it raises instead of lowers.
Are you asking how long it took to BUILD it? ....or how many years of work did it take for me and my wife to work up to this property? Reply in a new comment, so I see your reply, or your reply won't show up for me ;) Thanks!
I don't know about that one. If you click on our link, there's spare parts and optional parts listed below, if they exist. I kinda doubt it on this type of item.
Brian the Chinese, and the Germans have the same thing, but most of them run r/c hydraulic. hydraulic rams are real, hydraulic valve box is real, if the real thing uses hydraulics so does the r/c modal
Let’s get him that silver play button !!!!!!!
Yes Please - 100K coming soon ;) Thanks!!!

I had some level of difficulty using it ;( But I'm so used to flying planes ;)
I OFFICIALY GOT MY RC EXCAVATOR FROM THE LINK PROVIDED
Thanks!!! We appreciate you buying from the links! This helps us so much ;)
AHAHAH !!! Cool , now you can set-up a construction site in your backyard !
I'd like too, but not sure how well it will work for actual digging. I was thinking SAND would be good, but then I thought legos might work well when it's crappy out.
I'm jealous, where was this stuff 60 years ago? Isn't technology wonderful.
Lol
I agree, only where was this stuff 25 years ago when I was a kid ;)

loydta - We're so glad to hear you enjoy the content! We try to keep it family friendly too ;)
Awesome favorite one so far thanks
Glad you enjoyed it! I like this one the best, but I have struggled to get the controls as I've been flying planes so much, and old habits die hard ;)
If these didn’t overdrive and they had limit switches they would be perfect. 👌
I agree that would be better, but I suppose all these things cost ;(

You can make a barge and simulate gold digging in a pond or slew so cool it goes down below level
That would be very cool!
NIce video only 2mins in but could you review the extra 300 or 64 mm f15 ?
F-15 is coming in the next couple week ;)
I have one of the bigger metal version of that. I used it to clean the cats litter box. 😜 My wife and cats think I’m crazy
🤣
Can you specify the model or attach the link?
The hydraulic one?

@@BrianPhillipsRC Update: I purchased the CAT excavator and she is awesome! Definitely a stronger unit!

Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it. Love these little toys, but some day hydraulic will be the goal ;)
Why you not getting multi protocol remote and getting over with all this small remotes?
Because he is reviewing it at the customer will receive it. I'm sure he has many hobby grade radios as well.
@@caymanhilldesigns453 Sure I know it's just a review ;-)

Kid in a candy store.
Absolutely!
Nice! It looks like you might be getting into ground vehicles. Good video, I definitely need one of these 😂
We do them occasionally, but these were kinda a de facto gift for the kids, and they love them!!!
Awesome 👍
Thanks! I think it's really cool too!
I dint now you play rc excavator😂
We do!
@@BrianPhillipsRC hhahaha okay nice rc excavator😀😂
litter box cleaner!!
Great Idea, but that's a CRAPPY JOB :)

I don't recall saying they were made in USA. If I did, I'm sorry...but to be honest, I have no idea.
Brasil 🚜👍
welcome!

does this one have any lights?
Sure does. They go out when you turn off the sound.
are the controls the same as the joysticks in the real excavator?
I don't know, since I haven't ever driven one - but I want too :)
Actually, no. Right stick is boom and bucket, and left stick is stick and swivel, but the boom control is backwards, you push forward and it raises instead of lowers.
How long did it take to arrive at your house?

Im sorry, how long did it take to build it.
Do they sell replacement parts
I don't know about that one. If you click on our link, there's spare parts and optional parts listed below, if they exist. I kinda doubt it on this type of item.
have you tried digging in sand with it and can you get full buckets
I didn't, since we don't have sand to use for that. We need to make a sand box, from the sand in a bank of the named creek bordering our property.
@@BrianPhillipsRC well let me know if you do i wanan use this at the beach but i’m not sure if it has enough power
Brian the Chinese, and the Germans have the same thing, but most of them run r/c hydraulic.
hydraulic rams are real, hydraulic valve box is real, if the real thing uses hydraulics so does
the r/c modal
Sure! They're very cool, but not sure I'm gonna be dropping $10,000 on a toy version when I want a REAL version ;)
Thy have slipping clutches, so not to strip the gears, sounds horrible but ok....
Thanks Lorraine!
?
yes?
Why do they say hydraulic when it's not hydraulic wtf is wrong with these people
Who says it was hydraulic?
