No I’m tired of fighting Nina I been knew she was mad broken everybody acting like she’s underwhelming more like cracked broken cheese, most Nina do the same 4 moves and strings every Nina immediately does heat burst move after heat engager and she got multiple guaranteed on the ground moves with the 1+2 and it’s annoying getting hit on the floor when Lili was just nerfed for having a pancake flip blows my mind

  • @TOKYO_SLIME

Kinda cheesy, but something I like to do with Nina is get a heat engager and just chip my opponent down hard.
Then, right before my heat meter runs out, I heat smash and use her plus frames to force a mix that will remove all of their recoverable health.
Basically, because I have all of my side step cancels dealing chip damage and keeping me plus, either my opponent guesses right and checks me, or I chip you down and eat your recoverable HP with a throw

I started playing Tekken 8 as my first fighting game two weeks ago and was immediately drawn to Nina despite all the videos I watched beforehand saying that Nina's very not worth the investment, underwhelming compared to other characters etc.
I went ahead with her anyways and I've been having so much fun! And within the past few days it's nice to see some more videos come out pointing out how fun she is and how many options of movement she has! She's felt so smooth playing to me and I've been loving her animations. I'll be sure to come back to this video once I start understanding fighters more and leave the training area. 😎

Glad to see players using their own minds and not following the crowd. You have a great approach to tekken. The beauty of nina is she grows the more you do and is never underwhelming on any level of play. She can look as cool as you want her to look also😎 and the stats show she has one of the highest win rates across all levels of play so the data speaks for itself. Obviously if you're playing arslan ash or knee e.c.t you will have to be selective with moves but as casual and even higher level players you can dance with nina

She has no hard counter?!? Dude Feng Wei, Paul? These characters dont let her play. Xiaoyu is is b tier? You have no idea what you're talking about. The tools you are using all have counter play, either mashing, side walking, ducking, power crush, or just blocking. Are you new?

I'm tekkengod I think I have a clue. She has no hard counter feng he's just a good character he isnt ninas counter Paul is definitely not a counter for nina lol. Xiaoyu isnt hard to beat sorry maybe at top top level but other than that if you have a mid check that hits stances shes done. Try those mashing blocking e.c.t stuff on my nina and you will quickly learn. I see you're only at fujin you haven't played tekken at a good enough level to argue here if I'm being honest. I sprinted through blue ranks using cancels and strings with minior pokes in between. All those tools I mentioned carry her ridiculously

@@AlexavianI saw your nina gameplay and blue ranks suit you just fine. Beating higher ranks a game or two isn't the same as ranking up against them 😂. Plungers are annoying but it's not an excuse to not rank up at all especially at easy ranks like fujin. The only ones screaming rank means nothing are the ones unable to obtain a decent one. Like i said before tekkenking is the start of tekken so at least get there before having an opinion but going with your gameplay it will be tirelessly difficult for you

  • @BullC6

I think the main thing Nina has going for her is mental stack but I feel like characters like Lili, Feng, Ling, Azucena, Jun and Reina can already do that but while staying safer and getting interactions on their buttons with better approach tools or just outright having better 50/50. That's why I'd rate Nina A+ at best, even though you made sound arguments.

I can see both of your argument valid. many of her evasive moves could work to counter in theory, like a perfect scenes. but in reality it is difficult to master but rather risky. for example perfectly timed sway then launch. Ive not yet to see such a Nina master except "only practice" of Korea whom Jodd and warningIspam both looked upto. with some of her new long, mid range moves, I hope to see a pro can play Nina in a top tournament this year. recently "Drx infested" showcased his new Nina on a online tournament against Top korean players while playing Nina-like Nina, won 2nd place. worth watching. became fan of his.

    • @BullC6

@@Tko_Seven Honestly, the biggest argument I hve seen thus far is her f4 and yes it is an amazing tool but it's slightly on the slower side and its pretty steppable. In fast high level tekken applying a move like that with fake frames on side steps/sways takes some doing. Even the d3,4,3 CH string...yeah it's awesome but you HAVE to commit to the high in order to confirm so even there, there is risk involved. Somone like lili can stay safer, apply pressure and still get counterhits. Even if Nina's top 10, which I don't think so, I am glad she is cuz it's about DAMN time.

@@BullC6 yeah I havent got used to use the f4 or b34 yet. once in a while I use it as surprise attack. in terms of d3,4,3 which is like minus6,7 on block, I intentionally spam it a few times even though I get some punishment. that still tho, makes them annoyed and break their mental state. at least upto raijin it works well time to time.😀 she is like a manual porsche against auto pilot characters like Reina.

@@BullC6 Now, after vigorous play and watching top players A LOT.
I actually agree with you. She's A+ at best. But at least I think she still has some plus alpha factor as
Nina control is heavily pilot dependent, and not many play her, if one masters her control really well, like in Tourneys, she might have surprise elements against opponents. Just a thought.

Easy to pick up hard to master. Making effective use of her tool kit at higher levels can be very difficult such as WS1 SS1 cancels, QCF4, evil mist setups and more. At high level this character is truly one of a kind.

    • @djptekken5465
      @djptekken5465  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Yes she is easy to pick up and easy to do well with. As you grow as a player her tool kit opens up more and more. The previous reply to your question is true to tekken 7. Most of those moves you don't need anymore and also her commands have been made outrageously easier for tekken 8 so all her harder commands have now been made extremely simple for new players. Great character to get into and rewarding at all levels of play

Imo, she’s definitely one of the more complicated characters, but if you stick to the basics, Nina isn’t too hard. Once you get into the more advanced things like the butterfly loops, QCF/B motions, cancels, SS1 set ups, etc she can definitely be difficult to “properly” use I feel.
Compared to Tekken 7 though, she’s got more streamlined and straight forward attacks so I would say you don’t necessarily need most of the advanced techniques she relied more on in Tekken 7 though.

There is definitely levels to the s tiers but nina can fight against any of them no problem. Dragunov has a hard time against nina xiaoyu struggles against nina King jun aswell nina is a superb choice to combat high teir characters aswell as destroying mid and low level players. Nina is ok as a character but nowhere near Dragunov, Jun, i mean if u ask people and watch a videos of streamers u will imidietly see everyone agreeing dragunov needs nerfs. @lukalucijanic2012 s teir character arent all equally balanced this is a fact. Some s teirs are better than other s teirs same with A. When people make teir lists they usually put them in order of best s teir to worst right the way down to d teir. I never said nina is better than dragunov I said she can deal with him and is a solid counter play for dragunov due to her high pressure tools it's a bad matchup for dragunov this is facts. Alot of people are starting to put nina in S teir after I made this video check out Super akouma and Tmm swe teir list. Nina's reason for being S teir isnt because shes OP or needs nerfs like dragunov it's simply because she can obliterate dragunov xiaoyu and face off well against all top level characters, has ZERO counter play characters unlike dragunov and ling xiaoyu, can be used on easy mid and advanced level and do very well in each section. Also statistics show nina is in the top 10 win rate across all levels so what is the argument here?🤣 you must be new to tekken
