I Built HellDivers In LEGO (Part 2)

- In this video, I built the popular game Helldivers 2 in Lego for the second time. During several sections, I explain in-game features or structures accompanied by gameplay footage. All gameplay footage was captured by me.
All the figures and robots are my own design, I hope I was able to capture the look and feel of the actual game in Lego.

For anyone wondering how to make a Helldiver Minifigure, I just posted a YT Short that should help out!

@@BouwerBricks thanks I found the problem. one of my addons added a new feature that blocks shorts and auto enabled it.

Maybe! I wanted to stay away from figure parts to add to the whole robot look and feel, but yes that part would have worked well, thanks :)

you forgot the most important part of the robot, their skull, it honestly would have looked better if you used some of the old castle or ninjago skeleton heads.
I’ve addressed this a couple times so far :) but very simply, I tried it initially and decided to go for the brick built design instead. Hope that’s clarifies. 👍🏻 (I have a IG poll going rn now, and brick built is wining by a landslide)
I would recommend using the robot skeleton head from the Lego movie for the Automatons heads
the tiles on the top of the standard automatons should be either white or light grey, not dark grey.

my gosh there is so much to love about this. the automaton grunt is such a clever design, the color choice and decoration of the map around the fabricator is PHENOMENAL. if you ever get bored and put that Fabricator design on Rebrickable PLEASE TELL ME!! the lights are a cherry on top as well. btw, did you see that AVFigures has a pre-order for custom helldivers? pre order should be up for another month and would really compliment your mocs so well
Hi Matt, Thanks for your comment :) Yes I did see the AV figs (The helldiver in my thumbnail was one of Avs WIP pics) I looked at the decal set to get some customs for this video, but the timelines didn't match(would likely take me 2-4 weeks before I got the figures decaled) Again thanks for the nice comment :)

since the automaton's heads look like robotic human skulls, you could get the skeletron head piece from the Lego Movie sets (piece number is 3626cpr1336)
Again, I did do this initially but I did not like the look. See similar comments for a longer explanation.
0:50 You should switch out the troopers head of white or tan pieces
Yep, I tried white but wanted to reserve it for the bigger robot, to make him pop more.

Automatons need minifig heads for... heads, because most of those custom ones just don't look right. + those Devastator arms need a redesign, especially to first connecting joints, so we could add those Devastator pauldrins, but that is all optional.
Although I have a problem of finding in my memories even remotly suitable minifig heads as replacements. And if you ever find one, preferably in big supply, be sure to get those Tecnic Lego "beam-to-pin" pieces(I don't know either a number or proper name for this piece, but hope my description helps) for putting inside those heads(if they are a standart type), but you probably know that "Technique" already. As for everything else, you did a *stellar* job of faithfully recreating everything, defenitly worthy of a reward from SuperEarth!!!
Maybe the fantasy era castle skeleton skulls with the red eyes?
@@thefalcon1994 Certainly a good choise, especially if you have an ability to paint on them needed features.
Yep, I did use the Fantasy era skeleton heads, but actually ended up going for the brick built instead.

But seriosly, I want to know the reason behind the change, even if it is just "I felt like it" or "I like block heads aesthetic more".
@@Taron_HaiTar I was really close to going with the skeleton heads, I just thought something looked off, not sure why. the round figurehead with the blocky body might have been the reason. Also, I was thinking that casual audiences not familiar with the game might mistake the skeleton heads for something else than a robot. Hope that clarifies :)
You can also destroy the fabricators with an autocannon, quasar cannon, or with the hellpod

Fun fact there are three types of soldier automatons them being rifleman, scout, and blade masters you made a scout which can shoot a flare if they see you I don't know much of the game correct me if I'm wrong.

Devastators have a second weak spot which is much easier to hit, if you’re using the Stalwart machine gun like I do, it’s all the servos in it’s abdomen (if you’ve watched the Fallout series on Prime Video the T-60 power armour has the same weak spot. Fun fact for ya)

Why are your mocs always so flat? It would really cool to have uneven ground ❤❤
Well in this case i didn't know how big the base was going to be so i wanted to keep plenty of flat ground for that. And in my other videos, they have been timed challenges in which case spending a ton of time on elevation hurts the rest of the moc. (also my last hell diver video wasn't flat, nor was my first build challenge) Hope that helps :)

I would say, watch some gameplay on it and see if you like it. One thing i will add, the game is a lot more fun with friends so if you have any that play that would help :)
