- The Supreme Court on Thursday heard arguments in Trump v. Anderson, a case that questions whether former President Donald Trump is ineligible for the presidency because of his conduct related to the assault at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. The case, which stems from a lawsuit filed by six Colorado voters, cites Section 3 of the 14th Amendment as the reasoning for keeping Trump off the ballot.

"Integrity is the very breath of justice. Confidence in our law, our courts and in the administration of justice is our supreme interest. No practice must be permitted to prevail which invites toward the administration of justice a doubt or distrust of its integrity."

Judicial judge has already ruled Trump incited an insurrection in one of his other cases.
No better words!
AAMÉN!!! So heartening to hear from a Justice who knows what he's talking about. THANK YOU AND BLESSED BE!!!✝️⚖️🧑🏻🍼🙏🏼
He never met Donald Trump. Respect has to be earned not given blindly . You can quote anyone you want… Wheeler was a justice in 1928. There was no 24 hr news, no internet which allows anyone to say anything and have it repeated a million times in a second. There’s no lie detector screening information as it comes in It reminds me of Trump who uses his right to free speech to lie, deceive, effect revenge on anyone who speaks out against him. He stirs up fear and anger and distrust of the government, law enforcement, the media, the military, lawyers, judges, women, the election process and the officials that run that process, he stirs up disdain and distrust against the Democratic Party, the constitution, NATO, our allies - he has pretty much torn apart everything America stands for. He trusts, tries to emulate and repeats the rhetoric of evil dictators, and war mongers and white nationalists. So if I scoff at the Supreme Court and question the fairness of their decisions, I have a right to. There is no built in integrity, honesty or nonpartisan justice that somehow deserves our blind allegiance. If you have to mandate morality, integrity and fairness and force we the people to blindly accept, have faith in, and follow nine human beings with all their own beliefs, values and principles and biases to make potential life long laws that effect even the most intimate freedoms we are entitled to, and continue on till death do us part. No, we have every right to insist that our freedom is built into the fabric of the laws of this nation and to have a voice and means to vote out politicians and invite in a government which has been equitably elected to serve knowing that they have a few years to get it right for the people. And they must not be deified and worshipped as the all knowing and all powerful answers to lifelong laws and not be held accountable for every decision they make
Lol the SC basically stating that the language is not literal in terms of naming the office of President specifically, sets a precedent that means the 2nd amendment could be interpreted as “AR style weapons weren’t meant for the public” 😂😂😂

51:41 The reason why legislators are specifically mentioned in 14.3 is because they are NOT offices of the United States. Instead they are offices OF the *_states_* themselves. Yes, they do meet in a federal congress, but they themselves are state-bound offices who are then sent TO congress. They can only speak, act, and vote on behalf of one state.
The Presidency is different. It is an office of each and every state when speaking, acting, and voting/signing. That is, they are an officer of the UNITED states.

@@colediamond8644 Well a charge of insurrection and a conviction would certainly lead to an easier decision for the justices. I have been waiting for Garland to do that to help out Biden. JMHO
Read the DC 3 panel SCOTUS findings....it's in their opinion....or are you not following close enough?🙄
Not required
You lost me at housewife who doesn't know anything. Horrible advertised maneuver in 2024!
remove the supreme court they are not working for ALL OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE - TRUMP LIED, PARTICIPATED IN AN INSURECTION - HAD THIS BEEN A DEMOCRAT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN OUT AND IN JAIL. I am disgusted as to what is happening in the USA! this is shameful -
Tomatoes tomatoes/Commander & chief/officer/ officer of or office holder. That amendment needs to be amended. An insurrection (trumps insurrection) has never happened before. This is new & unexplored territory.

I wrote that very same thing. I guess I used too many words.😂

If they can steep ourselves into roe versus Wade proactively,... What's obvious about Donald Trump and his plight is...... obvious...... Would it be allowed for us to see ourselves right into an autocracy?.... With somehow our hands tied?
We aren't talking about a baby you want to flush...this affects the whole nation not having a senile president. Has Trump been convicted of insurrection?
This is a constitutional law not a political save or job’s issue
Aren't they missing the fact that CO SC had a trial to determine that?
Where were these protesters, the day that Trump was first nominated ???
I feel that this is an admittance of guilt by requiring a removal of the disability for holding office should not place the onus of adjustment onto the US government, the person(s) guilty of insurrection should retain the disability until Congress removes such a disability. If a person was found to be guilty of any other crime the consequences would not be placed on the government, the guilty party would suffer those sanctions and adjustments!!
We do not properly Foster education in this country... Education does not need to be bought to be had.... It needs to be proactively strived for by every single individual citizen with ores in his hands
Justice Thomas's wife is mega. He should not be on any case involving donald trump. The supreme court needs an overhaul.
Reading the law is not word for word but ti inckude tge intention/wisdim of the law abd the disqualied positiin covered tge Presudency unfer Sec. 3, Art. III are well privided /enumerated by tge US Const
This is why CBS has the worst ratings
Though there us term limits that doesnt bar the State to disqualify the insurrectionist becayse of tge change of power/ authority. The "term Officer" was meant to be genersl word during when the framers were drafting and meant to include everybody including the President as it was enumerated tge positions and it was only later after the framers wgen tgey differentiate the word "officers" & "official", timefrane is imfortant
SA should not be a qualified candidate.🤨
This is fascinating and informative. Thank you for broadcasting it.
It's just the primary folks not the general election, would she still has the supreme court filing to appeal to them on Monday. If they find he doesn't have presidential immunity. Then it's for sure he's going down. Things are not always what they seem
The issue is how does the 14th amendment affect Donald Trump’s behavior on January 6. One has to prove that Trump acted to overthrow the US government. Objecting to an election is a right any candidate can make. Emotions about any candidate is not cause for a hasty decision.
Rudy: 'Trial by combat', Trump: 'Fight like Hell', 'They are taking your rights away', get mad as hell, because in their words, in the actions AND inactions, Donald Trump allowed the terror to reign on Jan. 6, and people died as well as being injured! Donald Trump was why they came, not for Rudy, not for Hillary, not for Obama (lest any be confused)?
There's no proof otherwise Merrick Garland would have prosecuted Trump under 18 usc §2383 and if convicted would then be disqualified from holding office along with being fined, jailed.
That's the appropriate enforcement remedy for section 3 since section 5 only gives enforcement power to congress through legislation.
The RNC does have an opportunity to choose someone who is not an insurrectionist and criminal!
Zero expectation of accountability.
Vote BLUE, USA 🇺🇸 From a Danish ally
Why? So you can keep getting US aid?
If a democrat supreme Court couldn't say what a woman is being a woman herself what can we expect on any other question?
“WALKING DOWN ON THE STREET” really ALITO… NO SHAME
Some judges act as lawyers for the defence. Also a question posed ca!led for an yes so that judge could say" then Biden should be disqualified. Distasteful!
The Supreme Court does what it wants.
Law be damned.
Constitution be damned.
Precedent be damned.
Common sense be damned.
Hmm, do I think the Supreme Court is better at interpreting our laws or internetYahoo1848?
The Supreme Court is not going to take away trump. Lord Help Us All.
What happened to your brain growing up? Oh yeah, the news!
Bahahaj 🤡
The Supreme Court, bought and paid for by the 🍊 traitor, well, 3 of them anyway. 😢
To all riders of the trump train, pray he's not standing behind you when the train is coming. Remember who he is ,because he will push you in front of that moving train, and say he didn't have anything to do with it!
Please don't forget to vote. 😎🇺🇸
These judges keep interrupting him looking for an ajaaa moment. Supreme Court is corrupt
