I've been saying that ever since disney announced making independent movies...if they're smart they'll make one of the Mandalorians...the history, thanks to disney making everything non-canon (I say that sarcastically, but it does have a small up side) is wide open...hire some fan writers, who can dive down Into a dark movie and then the pros just clean it up a bit...Same goes for a jedi movie about the jedi who survived order 66, and how they have survived...I can picture someone messing with someone in a bar only to find out its a jedi...except far more exciting than Ben chopping off an arm...just my opinion, for what it's worth...writers of the old republic, knights of the old Republic proved what actual good writers can do, when released from the mickey mouse clutches of "everybody getting along"...rogue one led the way...they off'ed everyone, lol! Not saying it has to be heroes all die, but the mere fact of knowing that they could, would draw you in deeper to the storyline and have you send your friend out for the popcorn refill, lol!

And that goal was to test the full unbridled might of the republic. This was the reason for the Mandalorian Wars, they were beating the republic so bad that the Mandalorians came very close to destroying the republic completely

Unfortunately, after both factions were exiled, the True Mandalorians died out, except for Jaster’s protege Jango Fett, who passed their traditions on to his son.
