Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It is the twentieth game in the Call of Duty series, and third entry in the rebooted Modern Warfare sub-series, serving as the sequel to 2022's Modern Warfare II.
The game is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, as part of a single cross-game launcher, known as Call of Duty HQ. A full reveal of the game took place on August 17, 2023.
Modern Warfare III will feature similar gameplay to Modern Warfare II and other games in the Call of Duty series. Mechanics returning in Modern Warfare III include the return of slide cancelling. According to Activision, in addition to linear missions, the game's campaign will feature "Open Combat Missions", allowing players to freely choose how they want to approach their objectives.
In Multiplayer, all sixteen maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) will be available at launch, alongside the ability to vote for maps while in a matchmade lobby (which was absent in some recent titles), and increased player health for longer "time-to-kill" (TTK). The "red dot" minimap that was absent in Modern Warfare (2019) and Modern Warfare II will also return, which will allow players to see enemies on their radar when the enemies fire a weapon without a suppressor. Classic game modes such as "Kill Confirmed" and "Hardpoint" will return alongside a new game mode titled "Cutthroat", where three teams of three players go head to head. In addition, the Ground War mode also returns with dedicated maps, as well as War mode, last seen in Call of Duty: WWII.
The game will feature moderation powered by artificial intelligence, listening in on in-game interactions and immediately reporting any overly-toxic behavior. At least twelve new multiplayer maps have been confirmed to release post-launch.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a 2019 first-person shooter video game developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. Serving as the sixteenth overall installment in the Call of Duty series, as well as a reboot of the Modern Warfare sub-series, it was released on October 25, 2019, for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One.
The game takes place in a realistic and modern setting. The campaign follows a CIA officer and British SAS forces as they team up with rebels from the fictional Republic of Urzikstan, combating together against Russian Armed Forces who have invaded the country and the Urzik terrorist group Al-Qatala, while searching for a stolen shipment of chlorine gas. The game's Special Ops mode features cooperative play missions that follow on from the campaign. The multiplayer mode supports cross-platform multiplayer and cross-platform progression for the first time in the series. It has been reworked for gameplay to be more tactical and introduces new features, such as a Realism mode that removes the HUD as well as a form of the Ground War mode that now supports 64 players. A post-launch update introduces a free-to-play battle royale mode, Warzone, which was also marketed as a standalone title. Multiplayer also supports shared screen multiplayer. This mode includes bots, custom maps, custom game-modes and other creative game-interfering actions.
Infinity Ward began working on the game soon after the release of their 2016 title Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. They introduced an entirely new engine for the game, which allows for new performance enhancements such as more detailed environments and ray-tracing capabilities. For the campaign, they took influence from real-life conflicts, such as the Syrian Civil War, 2012 Benghazi attack, Raid of Osama Bin Laden's compound and terrorist incidents that have occurred in London. For the multiplayer, they scrapped the franchise's traditional season pass and removed loot boxes, enabling them to distribute free post-launch content to the playerbase in the form of "Seasons".
Modern Warfare received praise for its gameplay, campaign, multiplayer, and graphics. Criticism focused on the handling of the campaign's subject matter, including the depiction of the Russian military, as well as balancing issues in the multiplayer. The game had sold over 30 million units by September 2020. A sequel, titled Modern Warfare II, was released in 2022. - เกม

its basically the same engine with diferent assets
The animations, sound, and visuals of MW19 were of the highest quality. Nobody can deny that (even though I personally I prefer a more cartoony style like BOCW). But in my opinion the gameplay of MW2019 was some of the worst. Bad mechanics, slow gameplay, stupid fast TTK, loud footsteps without a counter, etc etc. And for me it doesn't matter how good the visuals are, if the gameplay doesn't feel right, I won't be playing the game for a very long time. Gameplay > Graphics.
A big thing I loved about 2019 mw was the lighting and how it made everything look vibrant, unlike mw2&3 that look depressing.

@@maksim1415 bro what? Mw 2019 looks like gray, washed out with those dumb containers Mw 2019 has everywhere, The Mw 2 is surrounded by mountains with a brown warm feeling to it
you can just change how vibrant mw2 is in game Id imagine that setting will carry over into mw3 (hopefully 😅)
It has to be your setup. Go and mess with your monitors brightness settings if you got custom ones like I do or presets. It makes the game way more vibrant and color ful. I know the exact other color tone you mean though its more military stylish. Realistic is what I would call it.
This proves that Mw2019 had the best engine out of every cod
Nah, the problem are not the textures, the problem is the lighting. There is this sort of filter that doesn't let bright spots look white, so it goes from looking like real life in MW2019, to looking like any other past CoD in MWIII, al grayish, de-saturated, lacking contrast. That's unflattering for the textures.
exactly, the lighting makes up 50% of the graphics
Its because mw2019 was made longer than both

To be fair, they did crank down the fx and camera shake by a lot because of complaints from mw2, but the animation from a motion perspective they're about the same, just that mw19 has better visual direction compared to the desaturated color palettes from the new mw2/3.
@@mememan143 probably cause they reused IW assets
Lighting, color palette and material shaders were so drastically better in MW '19, it's bizarre to me that they went backwards in those regards rather than forwards.
Still good looking games but they just feel flatter and blurrier, plus it actually makes recognizing enemy players against the backdrop of levels harder in these newer titles as a result.
They need to return to the level of detail that was on display in '19 at some point, it would add a lot.
the skin specifically looks pretty meh in mw2 and 3
Everyone complained about the harsh lighting and drab color palette in MW'19, and now everyone complains about the softer lighting and more colorful palette in MWII & III.
@@lj5190only people complaining about the current lighting are these realism guys who jerk it to reload animations
@@lj5190 I don't have a problem with the palette being more colorful but they utilize it poorer regardless, things feel flatter as a result because nothing pops really.
I also never had that big of a problem with the palette in MW 2019 except for specifically player models where you could blend into the background at a distance, but that issue persists and in many cases is actually worse in '22
@@johnathanfoster4993 Things feel flatter because of the softer lighting.
Lighting can make or break a game, visually.
literally 2019 is miles better, how is it even possible to go so twistingly backwards, blows my mind 🤯, everything after 2019 looks like a hazy dream
MW2019 was a milestone for FPS games. Insurmountable.
Black ops 2 on top!
this is delusion at its finest
That and bf1
MW19 looks so much more photorealistic, the guns look scratched and worn, plus the polymer just has a better texture. The MW22 and MW23 guns just look so unused and plastic-y and almost textureless.
IDK for 2019 they really hit a mark I think they are still missing 4 years later. I mean MWII looks good but feels bad compared to both. MWIII feels to be better but hopefully they will crisp up the lighting textures because it looks to grey and washed out for sure.
Thinks thats what they are going for unfortunately
@@CJJJJ810honestly, MW19 is way too vibrant. but to each their own-doesn't take away from the fact that the game is good in all aspects
For me, MW23 fucked up with the gun sounds, and longer TTK. I hate that it takes 4-5 & sometimes 6 shots to kill someone. Shorter TTK makes the guns *feel* powerful to me, because they can kill so quickly.
I also dislike how they keep making fake knockoffs of real guns. I miss real guns being implemented into the game. MW19 gameplay with MW22 gun sounds would have been the best experience for me.
@@whos.is_ya mw2019 is the opposite of vibrant bro
MW19 is still the best cod in recent years. The only thing that has been improved since is weapon inspects and the gunsmith. If modern warfare 2019 had those, it would be perfect. It’s a real shame to see what the MW universe has become compared to the original vibes/vision that was created back in 2019. TH-camrs and streamers have spoken for us all and got their arcade shooter back, just so the kids will continue watching them. What a shame.
Are you talking about the MW universe storywise? Because the MWII campaign was a blast.
@@DUALMOTION MW19's campaign was better imo.
@@PrimmXzin When it comes to campaigns, IW does know how to do the job. But yeah, I will agree with you that MW19 storyline was better. IW nailed the job with MWII. I just hope that MWIII will continue that path nicely.
One of the worst mp is the franchise
@@DUALMOTION compare mwII Campaign to the days of mw2, they aren’t comparable, the story had far more depth, the missions were far better designed, and the soundtrack alone blows the new mwII out of the water having been orchestrated by hans zimmer. I remember when they showed mw 2019 for the first time on august and I was amazed at how the game looked and plays. Especially the animation made it so much better and made the game more unique. It sucks that mw 3 wouldn't be the same like mw 19.

Being observant the textures are clearly not the problem. The color saturation and contrast level used in MW19 looks better even using the same textures. The color pallet configures a sunny day like image making the game look perfect. Why didn’t they use the same lighting?
the shadows in mw23 are not dark and the sunlight is very dim, so everything looks super washed out without highlights and low visual occlusion. It feels like having a gray filter on the game.
For instance, favela takes place midday in rio, where the sunlight is bright as hell, yet the sunlight in game looks super dim, like europe in late october.

@@darkmotion5917 That won't change on release, it rarely does. The problem with the lighting is it's low contrast, mainly for visibility. This has been a trend since after MW2019 thanks to a certain.. very hard to see skin that became pretty controversial. Since then maps have used lower contrast lighting in Vanguard and MW2.
As a result, weapon and environment details look a lot more lower quality since they seriously lowered the brightness of specular highlights. Guns don't sheen, shadows have high black levels, and their AA technique will just make it look worse.

"And created an abomination" what is this guy on about bruh. Same game, slightly different feeling. Mw3 is the faster paced one, mw2019 is the one that started it all, and mw2 is just kinda in between, improved some things from mw2019, nerfed stuff like slide cancel. But at the end of the day they're pretty much the same game. Don't come up with this nostalgic bs now because mw2019 is 4 years old please. You will be saying the same about mw2 and mw3 by the time they're both as old.
Literally everything in MW2019 looks more true to life. The colors, the weapon models, the sights, hell even the way the front and rear sights align are more true to how you would align your sights. MW2019 nailed it; it truly captured the essence of MODERN warfare in terms of animations and weapon model quality. Why did MW2 and MW3 lower the quality and standards so much?
Still can't hold a candle to MW2019. Safe to say they peaked there. This franchise won't come back from this. Massive disappointment

MWIII striker also has a horribly small magazine model
is it just the map lighting or is mw3's color pallet just way more washed out?
its been like that since mwII
wth, no. mwii is way more colorful and filled with life than mw2019 (though a few maps have bad lighting). mw2019's color palette was bland and washed out but it still somehow worked well due to the contrast. mwiii on the other hand is just plain ugly.

It's smg 45 not striker 45 just tell you
Wanna know why MW2019 has superior lighting? It's simple: white balance
Explain
@@justinkempkes1313 in videography, white balance is used to make sure that the whites in the game are actually white, so that the lighting is as accurate to real life as possible. When you look at some of the MWIII footage, you can see that the sunlight reflecting on the gun is slightly yellowed, when compared to MW2019 where it is white, which is more accurate to real life which is why it looks better. Sometimes, things like a higher temperature white balance is intentionally applied to set the mood, for example, a yellow-ish “tint” to make it seem like a warmer climate or to signify a dangerous area, for example the extreme orange tint applied to scenes in Mexico in Breaking Bad. Having an off-white balance like in MWIII can help enhance the atmosphere of a scene, but it makes the scene less authentic and realistic due to the inaccurate lighting when compared to real life
@@somestooperdguy Thanks for this. It made sense what I didn't like about MW22 but I couldn't pinpoint what it was. It's not that MW19 has better graphics than MW22 and MW23 but they just went with a different artistic direction.

Crazy how mw2019 is a older game and still looks way better than mw2/mw3
cheap cost for new games. less hand made textures
Should've given 2019 another year
MW2019 season 1 before BR had a prestige-like system where max rank was lvl155 and if you completed all the challenges for the season you got the animated prestige emblem for that season.

I fucking despise that the "AN-94" in this game is a Beryl 5.56 that's been horrifically molested to vaguely resemble the form and function of an AN-94. They literally HAVE THE AN-94 MODEL FROM MW2019 AVAILABLE
MW 2019 is another example of a game ahead of it's time

It's amazing how good art direction can do. mw19 looks like it came out yesterday.
MW2019 still is my favorite, it has a certain charm or feeling into it
Yup I agree
MWIII is an example of why we need to move into next gen
exactly
Stop calling it next gen! It’s been out for 3 years
MW2019s pump shotguns animations and sounds is just incredible and satisfying. The hand models are really high quality as well.
We needed a MW2019 looking/sounding game, with MW2019’s TTK, with MW3(2023)’s movement, with dead silence, and a working minimap. It’ll never happen.
We paying 80$ just for plastic guns?
literally MASSIVE STEP DOWN from mw19
Y'all remember the "Countdown" of MW2019 in March 2020?
couple of the guns featured are different guns in either game the striker 45 MW19 irl is the LWRC SMG 45 But The Undertaker blueprint makes it look like the ump, the WSP Stinger is a micro Uzi when the Uzi from 2019 is a normal Uzi
They forgot how they made MW 2019
Sledgehammer didn't make both that's why it looks downgraded
so MW II and III 's color filter and lightning make guns look more plastic than mw2019, gun sound is okay and animation become better.
Animation is worse wdym
Just look the detail of guns shape bro mw 2019 looks like realistic guns
Tbf most guns are half "plastic" today anyway
@@thebignachonot cheap Walmart plastic they use hard tough polymers.
@@usonlyus7148 how are they worse? in MW19 you have the characters doing two things in the vast majority of the inspect animations, they point the gun up and look at the side of the gun, turn it around, then it ends
in MIIW, sure you know to expect a mag check and maybe a chamber check but each gun does it differently - the AR-15 platform rifles are all incredibly similar to each other but still have more movement to them, the AKs have the same thing, then there's the latest MIIW season adding the 9mm daemon and ISO45/9, with some incredibly flashy and smooth animations
sure, flashy, cool and smooth does not mean realistic, but sometimes you can sacrifice realism for a bit
So the SVA is an AN94. Looks similar to the COD Online variant since it has a straight mag instead of the usual tilted mag.
It's like they took a big step forward and then made two huge steps back.
Just a small note that I learned from Jonathan Ferguson, keeper of firearms at the royal armory museum is that the reason an-94 has it's magazine at an angle is to make room for that rapid fire system they have in that gun that fires the first 2 rounds at 1800 rpm and it does that by having two bullets inside the chamber at the same time (he said it's like a gun inside a gun) and this detail is missing from the gun in mw3 which means it shouldn't probably work (they could have easily gone with a ak-101 which is the 5.56 version of ak-105 and there was no need to butcher this gun)
And also the PKMs firerate is way off then what it should actually be
Isn't MW3's SVA 545 an AK-12, instead of AN-94?
@@Snakie_Chan you can both hear the gun fire the first two bullets really fast and the barrel moves back unlike the ak-12
MW19 > MW23
Man the MW3 Color Palette its like the new Forza Motorsport 2023 :V....
The lighting comparison makes it difficult to decide on the guns but after watching the grenades.. MW2019
How are the grahphics, animations and sounds worse in mw3?
Graphics only because of colors, animations are better, sounds are only some of the guns better
Worse? These animations are stepped up from mw19 but some of them are not good as mw22
Animations are just fine
Why does mw19 look so much better?
bc it is what it is
I feel like if the color filter and word color intensity is changed up it’d look very similar
The cx9 just dropped in codm recently.
MW19 was a good game. It was out when they had quarantines and people staying at home. Then Warzone was a welcome change to CoD. Verdansk is still the best CoD experience I’ve had, and I wish I could go back and venture the street and alleys of that awesome place. SBMM kind of sucked in MW2019 because you’d hit a wall where everything was a sweatfest and you’d have to take a break. MW2019 before all the skins and colorful cosmetics was a fun and pretty realistic shooter all people could enjoy. I remember playing that Costco map and people would roleplay getting their last pack of toilet paper.
What the fuck did they do to the an 94
I thought they would’ve changed the lighting but I guess not.
Why do Sledgehammer's animations always feel a bit cartoony? I can feel it in the camera movement of the inspect animations. It's uncanny.
I don't think the graphics downgraded. I'd argue it was even more powerful because of the upgraded engine. However, I think their color grading is just awful. Maybe it's their way to compensate for the colorful skins they make.
I honestly don't think MW2019 looks that much better, graphically. It just relies heavily on contrast and sunny days. It's just doing what BF3 did with it's art direction.
It’s also the fact that people just choose horrible settings for some showcases. With this one I understand because it’s a Beta and the best way to record it is in Ground War, but I remember a lot of previous videos used Santa Seña or Taraq for MWII, which come with pre-built filters or low lighting in general to achieve a specific mood. And then they would compare it to a bright ass map in MW19. Like yeah, ofc one is gonna look better than the other, but put Crown Raceway or El Mercado and you’ll see that the visuals stack up
@@joec5680 what a weak ass argument, people made that same argument with mwii but the truth is that mw 2019 just looks better
The irony of this is that MW19 was a very grey game when it came out. It wasnt as colorful as Black Ops 4 and other games before it. MW22 is way more colorful and brighter than MW19 and now it seems like MW23 is going even more grey.
I actually prefer a dull and grey color grade in COD, it makes the vibe of war feel more dark and gritty, which I prefer.
@@prohibitions1571 mw 2019 was definitely not gray, you're confusing it with MW3 and Ghosts
Contrast and color pallets are important elements of graphics
2:41 Bruh! that machine pistol looks like original Star Trek ray gun 😂😂😂😂😂
Mw 2019 was a masterpiece. I really took that game for granted.
Ngl to me MW2019 looks more realistic than MWII and III. Probably because the lighting on guns and all that is noticable and not dimmed into oblivion😅
is that a joke? its like saying mw1 2007, mw2 2009 and mw3 2011 are all the same game@@pukei
looks like u ignored the other part@@pukei
looks like you cant accept the truth@@pukei
the lighting and color palate used across all three are not the same. anyone can see the visual difference regardless of them being the same game or not@@pukei
mw2019 is a masterpiece like no other. It may take years to be made like it
Yeah. I agree. They actually made a fantastic game with that one
Both recorded on ps5? or one pc and the other ps5?
On the left, you see a cash grab.
On the right, you see the last game before Call of Duty died.
Mw19 was so ahead of its time. We won’t see a game definitively beat it in terms of visuals/sounds for at least 5 more years.
Mw2019 has always been the better of three.
@@pukei facts
@@pukeiIt's not the same, damn you blind or something? 🤦♂️
No shit this mf cod buzzer again, I'll just leave instead.
@@pukei Nostalgia? Bro it's only been like 2 or 3 years. I'm in the same place as I was before. Ain't nothing about Nostalgia here.
@@pukei and yeah all these three mw games are the same shit. It's why I've enjoyed mw2 as well and might even play mw3 in the future but 2019 did look different visually
2019 will always be the best looking. I’m guessing they had to make some downgrades Becuase mw2019 was about 200GB to download 😓
Can we change the color or contrast for MW3 its MW19 but with some kinda filter on it
