Oh man. I want to drive a 911 Porsche through 1987 L.A. right now! Listening to this or Beverly Hills Cop II score on a cassette! Luckily I'm not very far from it. I drive a 1988 Mercedes-Benz in Poland listening to my dad's 80's tapes. Sometimes at dusk I really feel like I'm time traveling to mid-late 80's
This music will always bring me to that age, charlie sheen, Porsches, California, it's all so perfect! I wish I could live life in this movie as ted's best friend.
I just watched this movie for the first time. Wow. Great film. Surprised I had never heard of it before. Came here straight after to look for the score and here it is. Amazing music. Doesn't sound like Basil Poledouris' normal style. Reminded be a lot of Harold Faltermeyer.
Underrated film, too underrated and apparently everyone hated it, just like any good 80s film (The Shining, Blade Runner, The Thing) it was hated back then.
I love this movie so much ! 19 I was on release of it. So much film nostalgia on this one. Had the tape of it at home , now have it on cd. Beginning titles give me tingle spine. It's on the cherry 3000 combo cd
Someone’s a pro lol jk. Yea some people clearly don’t have the gift to see things in a easier way. Like the huge ass sign “THE HOME DEPOT”? Could’ve saved lots of money if they took out “THE”. Who calls it “the” Home Depot anyway? Idk 🤷🏻♂️
@@Panzer_Runner Came out in the late 80's, this is a forgotten gem of an action movie. Overshadowed by bigger releases at the time, it got pushed down the ladder rather fast. I told my friends about it and all of them except one haven't heard of it. More of a word of mouth movie. Love it to this day and one of my favorite 80's movies. Definitely in my top three car chase movies after Mad Max, Mad Max 2.
Me too. Was so into watching it as a teenager and twenty something. Lots of cool intrigue and suspense, great music, acting, and action. Consistently throughout its duration.
Where can you download this soundtrack... I used to hire this film every weekend when it come out, Now have a copy on DVD. Such a great film. And they were the best looking 911"s around this time!!!!!!
It's a top class film, I just dislike the ending, it feels rushed and on budget which I believe it was. They could of made possibly one of the greatest films ever produced especially for porsche enthusiasts, with and ending like Ted Being pursued across LA the Porsches racing each other, there was so much potential even in one scene of the film, Shame
80s man, best ever...
Back when movies were GOOD and had REAL soundtracks
😮right❤
All the dislikes are coming from Ferrari owners!!!
......Italian Trash

Thank you Mr.Poledouris for all of your great masterpieces. Robocop, Iron Eagle, Conan the Destroyer and many more.

I was 17 when this movie came out this is the greatest movie of all times the 80s good ol day's no man's land 1987

As a Greek i find it incredible almost nobody in Greece knows about Poledouris and people from all over the world know his work ..
Typically 80s movies Sounds track . Crazy to listen this again . I feel like 7 years old child
Tangerine Dream's soundtrack for Thief was pretty incredible also. A great James Caan movie.
atmospheric, haunting and incredible.
Sheen turns in an excellent performance in this turbo charged thriller.
i remember when i was 13 years old listening to this score all the time.
amazing soundtrack. :)))
1:15 , that's where it kicks off, what en epic tune
"So good! So good! Cus I got you!"
Amazing! I was listening to this while taking a walk in the city at night.
Haven't seen this movie for years, but I remember loving it. I might have to track down a blu-ray/DVD. Hope it's as good as I remember!

One of the best opening credits scenes in a film, although it bugs me when they burn off the ID plate instead of drilling the rivets?

@@AndrewEdwardBailey also the fact they can break steering locks with a kick of converse trainers 😄 I do like the film though 👍🏻
More dramatic.
Epic credits!
One of Poledouris's best. This is incredible.
I just saw this movie. Amazing , now it's your turn
way better than fast furious
I just don't get why No Man's Land got rated 6/10
It should be 8/10 ngl

Charlie is just oozing confidence in this one, Vin Diesel cannot compare with his growling.
@@Panzer_Runner Agreed. I liked it better than Wall Street. Should’ve been a bigger hit.
One of sheens best movies. Great film, made so many young guys wanna buy porsche 911s.
In the memory you'll find me
Eyes burning up
The darkness holding me tightly
Until the sun rises up

Underestimated movie... Amazing original music.
This soundtrack is fuckin amazing!!!! And the movie was really good too!!! 😆
I was three years old when this movie came out but enjoyed it nonetheless along with Point Break forget The Fast and the Furious!!!
you play this in an 80's 911 and floor it, you will get goose bumps if your into porsches.....do it in a 911 turbo cabriolet for maximum effect!!
excellenceasstandard like you comment xD. let's steal some porsches:D
Maybe somebody has already mentioned this but the track "Payoff" from this film was used in "The Hunt for Red October" in the Crazy Ivan scene.
playing this in my 32 gtst gives me some good vibes
Basil at his best
It is certainly an excellent score and among his best work.
i love this film
Me too. Was so into watching it as a teenager and twenty something. Lots of cool intrigue and suspense, great music, acting, and action. Consistently throughout its duration.
Super mooie tijd

The Best movie ever made 80's was the time movies chicks and fast cars.Charlie you a star as well as Basil Poledouris who made the music for this film
it awesome ilove it music fromheart
The film was written by Dick Wolf. Creator of the Law and Order Franchise.
And the producer of Miami Vice. With lots of style and car chases like No Man's Land
True true true Eduardo

Yeah fairlights computer synths and synclaviers , It's on cd import. Great 80 s synth soundtrack
8:15 - FRGT/10 - Linkin Park

Great music!
1:17 - 3:45 The theme music to the current luxury car thefts going on right now in Chicago.
If you still play midnight club and get a 911 as your first big car...........
Thanks ❤
Is no one going to mention the fact Linkin Park used a sample from this on their ReAnimation album?
good catch
You are!
Yea I noticed that too. And zombies call of duty.
Where exactly?
@@PeterParker-nc5ke where what? where did Linkin Park sample it? or where in this suite is the sample?

totally agree...watched it as a kid over and over on vhs knowing then it was a cult movie
At least we still got To Live And Die In L.A.
The plot idea was a clever and unique one as well.
Totally agree.
Dude it's an 80s movie get over yourself
Thank you for sharing! ^_^
Dane your the man for posting this thanks
movies where the undercover is so deep the forgets he's a cop, or the bad guy finds out but he's cool with it.
I want to bump an eight ball with Ted
Basil can't make bad stuff...
"Who the fuck are you Ted!!!"
I wonder if the drums were real or synth. If a human played THAT, he really crushed it!😁
Sounds a lot like Terry Bozzio to me :O)
Aw hey Bill why don't open her Abit ,Like you said it's good to let out right. Were you scared me neither.Ha Ha.
Yeah, I like it! :)
from HUN
So much like Vangelis. Is this music ahead of its time or was it's time the 90s?
80s. This movie was 87
It really sounds like ahead of its time!!! Love it!!

Is there other main soundtracks of this movie? How can I get them?
Would you upload the individual tracks? I can't find them
No, Basil Poledouris

kavinsky ??!!
Back when Charlie seemed to be a more upstanding and cool guy....not the sick, sleazy, and grungy 9/11 truther head case he's been these days.
And heavy junkie.
Good crime drama and great soundtrack but by far To Live And Die L.A. is the best crime drama from the 80's.
There is also Thief. James Caan and a great sound track by Tangerine Dream.
Of the worst that he has done basil throughout his career
No.
what a great fucking soundtrack i love it
