Stats was the hardest class I ever took. I got up and tried to walk out of it but my professor stopped me. Don't give up. You can do it. I love the strawberry tattoo!

Also, it took me more than one try to pass stats as well (and I don't have dyscalculia to make it even more difficult for me) so don't be too hard on yourself.

Stats is literally the worst fucking thing in the universe (hyperbole, much?) so don't don't DON'T let it grind you apart. As a college counselor I have spent more time with individuals crying over failed stats courses than any other. (I dropped it twice!) You are not alone. And -- you are enough. You showed up and you should be so fucking proud of yourself. Good luck with the new semester. (also: why IS H.Y. so obsessed with gay men? we don't need her trauma fetish, we have enough things to deal with.)
Lighten the load!!! I dropped down from 4 classes to 3 at uni last semester, and it's insane how HUGE the difference is. I have actual space in my brain to think and breathe and just *be*. Whatever happens, you've got this.

I tried to take Physics as a general course in order to get my degree, was told to drop because my grade was so low and there was no way it could go up, and now I'm graduating in the summer instead of the spring. STEM classes can be so so hard.
Honestly, there should be a way (in every school, university, workspace, etc.) to adapt things like exams and projects for people with dyscalculia, ADHD, autism, dyslexia... It's not our fault that our brain works in a different way than "the average".
Sometimes I get tired of hearing "when you tried your best and you don't succeed" playing in my head xD

I did a science degree so I had to do statistics for science, which kicked my butt. I also failed a subject in my first year, and while that totally sucked, I took an extra semester to make up for it and went on to graduate and then complete a Masters. So don't give up! If you need more time then take it, because sometimes that's just how things go. It doesn't mean you're any less hardworking or intelligent, it just means some subjects trump us initially and we need to have another go at them later time to kick their butts
I’m so sorry your exams didn’t all go the best :/ that’s so frustrating, and you’re absolutely not a failure. You’re balancing SO much. I hear that a degree is important to you, but if being a self employed artist is what you’re looking to do, you definitely don’t NEED a degree to do that. Maybe it would actually be better for your business and mental health if you decided to put all your effort into that rather than school? Hugs to you and ENJOY your time off ❤️❤️❤️

not to be giving out unsolicited advice, you've probably already looked into it, but in germany you can change your status to part-time student, if you're also working (or for other reasons, e.g. health). this mainly affects your health insurance and your tuition (most students in germany are basically state subsidized). I don't know the particulars or the system in belgium of course, but might be worth looking into as an option for a semester or two! Would obviously prolong the degree, but as you say: fuck timelines.

I had a 11/20 for my very first Statistics exam and it's still one of my biggest accomplishments up until this day. I have two Master's degrees and Statistics 1 was literally the most shitty exam I have taken during six years of University; so don't worry, it'll only get better from here on out

The only reason I passed stats was because I had an angel as a prof who let us take every test open book open note. Otherwise I would not have finished my degree. And don’t forget that Profs are people! If you need accommodations for health ask and they might be willing to grant them

as someone who took four years to complete a ‘three-year’ degree, and as someone who doesn’t know anyone that finished it in three years, i am the biggest proponent of taking one or two fewer subjects in a semester!
uni is built for people who don’t have jobs and bills to pay, and taking extra time is so worth it if it means you come out the other end with the same degree + more mental wellness 💜 it also made me learn things betterer because u get more brain space🤓
As someone that just withdrew from grad school, I know how difficult and frustrating it can be to figure out how to be well and balance all the things - we are all cheering you on! And this video totally made my morning so thank you for your stellar content!!! 💛💛💛💛
I relate to ur journey alot, Im also discalculic dyslexic and I moved to a foreign country permanently and did a course a failed one of the classes and was told I'd gave to repeat the Yr so I sacked it off lol, I didn't have any other prospects tho, so ur doing great with ur yt and freelance work. The hair looks good! The tattoos look good! I'm glad you got to relax for a bit before the next whirlwind of classes start. To be honest, it's completely normal to fail one or two classes on your first round of exams. You can retake the exam in summer or decide not to retake it and redo the whole class the first semester next year. I did 5 years over a 4 year degree. But I think I already told you about the focus on the classes you know you're good at (and are passionate about) and worry about those pesky (mostly math, let's be real) classes later. Either way, going to uni here is pretty flexible so I'm sure you'll figure something out that'll work for you and is sustainable! Let's hang out soon when you have the headspace for it, I miss you!
i don't know how reassuring this'll be, but I am a whole-ass electrical engineer that had to take a metric butt-ton of awful math classes to get my degree and I failed the FUCK out of statistics. Stats isn't just math, it's Evil Math With Evil Intentions and I truly cannot emphasize enough how much I hated taking it 😖

As a fellow chronically ill person in university I understand the struggle. I personally made the choice to take less credits per semester. I really hope you find an arrangement with school and work where you are comfortable, and not struggling. ❤️

I failed statistics and logic. I also failed legal system and method resat it and got a LOWER grade (I still don't know how that's possible). I ended up graduating with an Upper 2:1 honours and I have a job in the field of my degree I really like now. Failing exams seems like the end of the world at the time but I just wanted to highlight for anyone who's feeling that way, it'll be ok. Cry, breath, scream, drink tea. You're gonna be fine
That is so stressful, I'm so sorry it didn't work out. I don't know if it helps but I am a math person with a math degree but I am *terrified* of any class with names and dates like philosophy or sociology. I can never remember anything and it's so frustrating. Thinking about being in a philosophy class gives me the chills. So I think what you're doing is super impressive.
I had to drop to part-time during my undergrad in order to get through some of the material and juggle everything. I also had to sometimes make sure I was taking a hard course during an otherwise really light semester in order to make it work. I wonder if you could do the same?
I also know lots of people who had to take classes more than once, and I know from personal experience that stats SUUUCKS. You already know more about stats than you did when you started. It'll be at least a little bit easier next time around ❤❤
I got my B.S. in math last year and idk how bc that sh*t was hard. I even graduated with Honors, but it was a miracle!!! It was the most mentally trying time in my life and it was all a blur. So from a Mathematician, don’t worry girl - math sucks!!!
