    If you want film grain in your images it is very easy to do with the Zf. All you have to do is turn the ISO up. With the in camera noise reduction applied an ISO 51,200 will produce a very nice "grain" that looks a lot like Kodacolor 200 way back when it was common. Of course that does mean that you'll need to use some ND filters to get the shutter speeds into a reasonable range for daylight photography but it does work.

    Nikon added Flexible Picture Control to Z6 III. I think it will come to the ZF soon and that will allows users to simulate the film look easier

    I am just taking photography as a hobby, so I will be a happy if my pictures look half way presentable. I won't worry too much if it doesn't look like film for now 😂

    Great review of the ZF. I pre-ordered mine the day it was announced. I do not regret buying it. Even with the Z6III announced by the time I post this comment, the Z6III has more than what I need. The ZF performance is solid for photography and the video quality is outstanding. If the Z6III at $2,500 USD is too much money, then I would suggest the ZF at $2,000 USD. I think of the ZF as the Z6 2.5 due to the technology in this camera.

    I never used the articulating screen for vlogging it loses tht retro vibe hehe, i always used it for awkward shots like from a puddle facing up a building reflection

    I wonder why so many reviewers review this camera with tiny lenses. Why not show photos with portrait lenses on this camera (such as 35, 50, 85, even 135)?
    Nice review. Considering adding this or the z6ii to my z6.

    • @TechThroughTheLens

      The tiny SE lenses are the main kit lens. And nikon rehoused these lenses for that compact yet stylish look.

    C'mon - it is designed after the FM, not the FN - which isn't even any Nikon model. So much for credibility... and there's many more examples in this video.
    TURN AROUND NOW, AND FIND ANOTHER "AUTHORITY"
    Thanks for giving yet another glaring example of why TH-cam is as much bad as good when talking about cameras.

    Be WARNED the Nikon ZF does not support autofocus when using a remote release. A remote release will only trigger the shutter (NO AF), What on earth are Nikon thinking of? I totally get it that this is a retro camera and that old school film cameras did not have autofocus and therefore their cable release only triggered the shutter. However if Nike wanted to truly go retro with the ZF why did they give it AF in the first pace but not allow AF via a remote release which is critical for my needs. WAKE UP NIKKON you have just lost a sale. More people need to be aware of this.

    Subscribing straight away after seeing that AF test, thats an interesting way to test it and much more entertaining than having someone walk towards and away from the camera

    • @TechThroughTheLens
      @TechThroughTheLens  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      thankyou! so something i have recently learned is that camera companies specifically train thei autofocus to beat the walking towards and away test. so as reviewers we need to find more challenging camera test

    Does it make sense to compare two different brands? Only ignorant people don't know what they want. Nikon is Nikon... it has its fans and Fujii has its fans... These are two completely different brands and everyone knows it. What can we compare?
