    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial

    Can I use Nivea to remove makeup? Since Nivea is oil based. What is your opinion? I have micellar water but I find it a little bit drying on my already dry skin.

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Nivea cream is not specifically designed to remove makeup, although it can be used for this purpose. It is true that Nivea cream is oil-based, which can help dissolve makeup, particularly if it's waterproof or long-lasting.
      However, using a cream-based product to remove makeup may not be as effective as using a dedicated makeup remover or cleanser, which are formulated to break down makeup and impurities more thoroughly. In addition, some creams, including Nivea, may contain ingredients that can clog pores and cause breakouts if left on the skin for too long.
      I suggest using a cleansing oil or balm instead, such as The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser, G&G Mighty Melt Cleansing Balm, or Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil.

      I think that combination is not ideal, since the cream is too thick. I would rather opt for something more lightweight, such as CeraVe lotion or maybe even their cream. However, if you do apply it afterward, give the Azelaic Acid or the Salicylic Acid a few minutes in between applications so that they do not interact, ensuring you get all the benefits.

      The skin on your eyelids is thin, delicate, and highly sensitive compared to the skin on the rest of your face. Therefore, using skincare products that are not specifically designed for the eye area can cause irritation, redness, swelling, and even damage to your eyes.

    can we use nivea face and body cream After retinol ??
    it has lactic acid i am just confuse

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lactic acid is often used in skincare formulations to help balance the pH level of the product, which can enhance its stability and effectiveness. In this case, the lactic acid in the Nivea cream is not intended to exfoliate or provide significant skin benefits but rather to optimize the product's formulation.
      Therefore, using the Nivea Face and Body Cream after applying retinol should not cause any issues related to the combination of retinol and lactic acid.

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      Using Nivea Cream or similar products on the eyelids is not recommended due to the sensitivity of the eye area. The cream may contain ingredients that can irritate the eyes, potentially causing discomfort, redness, or even allergic reactions. It's best to use specialized eye creams or gels designed for the delicate skin around the eyes to ensure safety and minimize the risk of irritation.

      I think the moisturizer is too rich for you.
      Instead, I recommend using a Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser (4-5%) in the morning. Afterward, follow it up with a hydrating toner or serum. If you still feel the need, you can apply a moisturizer on top. Some options include The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel, or Geek & Gorgeous Hydration Station.
      For the evening, use your CeraVe Cream to Foam Cleanser, and then follow it with your hydrating toner, serum, and/or moisturizer.
      Using Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide should help reduce your closed comedones.

    Why u have to avoid ur eyelid ?

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      Applying Nivea blue cream to the eyelids is best avoided because the skin around the eyes is delicate and sensitive. The cream's thick consistency and fragrance can cause irritation, potentially clog oil glands, lead to milia formation, and migrate into the eyes causing discomfort.

      Yes, it could be that it is too rich for your skin. In that case, I would recommend avoiding it. • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Nivea Original Cream is not specifically formulated for skin whitening and does not contain any active ingredients known to have skin whitening properties. The main function of Nivea Original Cream is to provide hydration and moisture to the skin.
      If you're looking to lighten or brighten your skin, there are other products available that are specifically formulated for this purpose, such as skin-lightening creams or serums that contain ingredients vitamin C, or niacinamide.
      It's also worth noting that skin color is largely determined by genetics and sun exposure, and trying to change your skin color through topical treatments may not be effective or safe. It's always best to focus on maintaining healthy skin through a balanced diet, regular exercise, and a consistent skincare routine that includes sun protection and hydration.

      @@ceolbeats7182 While I support companies not testing on animals, it's important to be realistic and consider the contributions of those that have conducted animal testing in the past. Their research has helped develop effective and safe products, laying the foundation for newer brands to build upon. Consequently, these brands may not test their own products on animals, but the ingredients used have likely been tested on animals in the past. Still, some of them are now misleading their audience and trying to profit from it because people are not aware of this history.

    Why would you avoid the eyelids??? The eyelids need it MOST.

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      The skin on your eyelids is the thinnest and most sensitive, making it susceptible to irritation from harsh skincare products. Additionally, these products, if they accidentally enter the eyes, can cause discomfort or damage. Therefore, it's advised to avoid applying certain skincare products, particularly those with active ingredients or fragrances, directly on your eyelids. Instead, use products specially formulated for the eye area, which are usually gentler and hypoallergenic.
