I always tried really hard to learn at least how to say 'hello' in all of the countries I've been to. However, while making this video I realized that I don't even know how to say hi in KSL (Korean Sign Language) which is one of the official languages of Korea. I hope many will learn to say 'hello' through this video just like how I did and try to throw questions out to the world like what ZER01NE is doing. Big thanks to Lihoo and ZER01NE! 🤗

My friend Actually gradually lost hearing in both his ears and the group he used to hang out with just abandoned him cause they weren't able to communicate with him. I was actually Friends with many of his ex-friends and they said to me that he's a burden to them whenever they go out to hangout and I was so shocked. I think he somewhat knew what was happening so he started to stop going out and even when I went to his house to hangout with him, he'd tell him mother to tell me to go away. And I just felt so bad Because this wasn't his fault and he was still getting treated in such a terrible way. So I learned sign language and then I
Convinced him to meet just once and then I showed him that I am learning sign language and at that time I was quite good and was able to communicate well. We've been hanging out like almost daily since then, he's one of my top 4 best friends 😂. So I understand this, people who are differently abled face so much problems on such a daily basis and I hope that sign language would someday be taught in schools so everyone knows it even if they are just very basic communication skills, we need still to teach them to kids to make it easier for people who are deaf.

Thank you for making this video. It’s so interesting.
For all the hearing people saying they want to learn sign language - remember that there is not just one sign language. Every country has its own sign language, so you need to learn the sign language you country uses eg Im from the UK so I have to learn British Sign Language and if you are from Korea you need to learn Korean Sign Language and America, American Sign Language etc. They are all very different and just because two countries have the same spoken language eg uk/USA + English, that does not mean that ASL and BSL can be mutually understood.
Hope that helps. I really recommend learning sign language. We should all know it as hearing people.

My youngest sister is deaf, and it warms my heart to see people trying their best to understand and help him, as i would if i come across people like them.
Even as family, we struggle to communicate and understand with my sister since we have no knowledge on Sign Language. my sister uses FSL(Filipino Sign Language - we're from the Philippines) and you can almost NEVER find online sources for learning FSL (or even lessons from institutions). I borrow her teacher's reference books and scan the whole book for me and my family to learn at home.
It would be amazing if there would be a UNIVERSAL sign language for all nationalities, considering the possibility of families (having a deaf member) moving to another country using a DIFFERENT sign language. But idk if it's possible since Korean Language has a different sentence structure from English (but if it can be done, that would be SPECTACULAR)!

I'm a senior in high school now, but an old friend of mine is deaf, she graduated early, but it was interesting to find new ways to communicate, since I don't know ASL (American sign language), I also have trouble communicating myself, not because of hearing or vision issues, but because of developmental learning disabilities, so we had barriers to overcome, however she had a hearing aid, and an interpreter at school, and a microphone type device that was wirelessly connected to her hearing aid, we'd use that, sometimes we'd ask the interpreter, but most of the time if she couldn't understand me, I wrote down what I wanted to say, then she wrote down her answer, because of the fact that we worked well together, our teachers always put us next to eachother, or in the same group, because I helped her be able to communicate with the group, and it helped me practice communication as well, I took notes and let her copy, and she knew if she missed something the teacher said, she could ask me, of course she'd use her interpreter, but when we were in groups her interpreter tended to stand off to the side and help when needed, being friends with her taught me important lessons in patience, and problem solving, as well as different ways to communicate with others if not verbally spoken, so thank you for being my friend, and teaching me what's it's like to have a friend who requires different strategies for communication, but also that just because you need a different type of help, you are still like everybody else. A special quote I found that I think is very important "Just because you have a learning disability doesn't mean you're not smart, it just means you learn differently"
