Im is king of all the seas. Yet he is not free. Anyone who has to hide his identity, existence, history and actions from the people he rules over is not free. So he is king, but he is not free. He is the exact opposite of what Luffy wants to be. A king who is free.
True...but what if he is able to live a "normal" life under a secret identity? What if Im goes around in public as an unassuming public servant, only to adopt his true identity when he is within Pangea Castle?...nah, that's not very likely. But it's an interesting idea.
Doffy's implementation of Sugar's power by silencing anyone who rose against him can also parallel Imu's implementation of whatever this is by wiping out islands from history.
@@slackbraham Imu can literally wipe out entire islands from existence. He probably has an ancient weapon or some crazy ass df. Moreover, he has Vegapunk and the entire WG working for him. Dude is the biggest threat in One Piece. The closest to him is probably only Blackbeard
There are a lot more of these parallels in the whole series. I think every arc has a important parallel to the endgame. Big Mom's dream, Piece between all races might also stand at the end of Luffys dream (Doflmingos attack, Crocodiles Rebellion, Morias devil fruit (=slavery)....)
I think it's pretty poetic that the world developed into a pirate age, with large vessels traveling around the world, as probably Im/Uranos can't hit moving objects very well.
It was considered filler for decades, even with the pre-arc introducing Doflamingo and Blackbeard, the lingering plot point about Enel on the moon. These past few years really flipped it around as one of the most important arcs.
@@Sernival Who considered it filler? I always felt like people just assumed it was filler because they weren't used to the fact that not every story is immediately relevant or in their face plot points. Sure there is a major plot. But, the character development and world building are also huge for the plot. I like the emphasis that they run into things and may simply adventure at times for adventures sake.
The irony is that Im is essentially a slave to his own world government. He can't do anything without revealing his presence. He is the least free person in the whole series.
oddly enough this reminds me of the song Power by kanye west, which is about an egotistical maniac that gains a lot of power and influence in the world, but comes to realize his power is built on pillars of sand because how powerful can a man be if all his power is derived from the people he gained power from? he’s not truly powerful or free, just the self delusion that he has power but it can be taken away at a moments notice if the people decide to take it from you. if a king has no people to rule, is he truly a king?
basically, your power comes from the people you rule over but the moment those people decide to turn against you, your power means nothing. that’s why imu has to hide in the shadows and rule from said shadows because if the people found out there was someone at the top and ruling everything and they didn’t like it, his power would collapse on itself and he would be nothing. which fits with the theme of one piece that everyone should have the freedom to live their life whichever way they see fit.
This is the Morj I've heard about and came to this channel to see. Putting the puzzle pieces together and showing us the end from the beginning. Oda is the writer, but you are an amazing analyst!
Wow, honestly jaw dropping how revealing your videos are for this story. I learn so much! This series finale will be used for centuries in media to come. Goda is Goda for a reason. I feel so lucky for all of us for witnessing this series in real time. It's a moment in time, and we were lucky enough to be alive while Oda is.
The first time we see Enel use his thunder to smite someone down, it's a warrior trying to get away from the Upper Yard. Lulucia Kingdom was trying to get out of the World Government.
Same thing happened to the guy who predicted Luffy’s DF being a Wisdom King Zoan,, made SUCH a good theory, pulled from so many different cultures and religions,, connected so many parallels. And literally everyone roasted him for it,, saying “why can’t luffy just be rubber”. I even remember someone making a counter theory out of spite that just superficially rejected all of OP’s claims. This joke theory got more upvotes and support Ppl on Reddit usually don’t like exploring new ideas, just piggybacking off of an established consensus
Recently parvision said that luffy's dream was to make pirates and navy friends just like in skypiea where both the sky people become friends and share the land conversely here both navy and pirates will end up sharing the seas
One of you best analysis hands down, it's amazing how the previous stories keep retroactively getting better and better as their true intent gets slowly revealed to us.
There is also their dynamic with Luffy and his fruit. Enel was invincible (to all understanding up to that point) until the rubber-man came along and was capable of hurting him. While the defensive abilities of Im are still unknown, positionally alone he is untouchable like a Celestial Dragon is. Personally, I expect some OP untouchable ability not just politics alone. Luffy is the unique intersection of both willing and able to challenge and defeat Im because he is also Joy Boy / Nika. That is, he carries the will of Joy Boy as well as the abilities.
Since skypea is a foreshadow for (almost) EVERYTHING in the story, I have the strongest believe that at some point Robin will calmly talk about archeology with the major villain of that saga, who happens to know a lot, puzzling history together (this time with the true history of the world). I was sure for the longest time it was Teach, since he's an archeologist too, but since the itroduction of Imu I'm not totally sure anymore, it could be them... OR robin could talk with BB AND imu at the same time... I'm not sure with who, but that scene IS going to be repeated, 100% for me.
@@MattJDylan I don't think her demeanor would be the same since this one would be directly tied to everything she has been searching her entire life. If she's face to face with the one (possibly) responsible for everything bad since the erasure of the Void Century, including the decimation of Ohara, I'd expect her to be angry or AT LEAST flabbergasted with the info she's learning during the conversation. But yes, I agree a scene like that is likely to happen because we need the exposition of the whole history in a nice clear manner and Robin is the one with the highest interest in learning it.
@@MattJDylan and she was essentially coerced with enel too. Because she knew he was OP. With the next major villain, most likely Im or Blackbeard, it would be at the cost of her life. Because the next discovery of the truth of the history would be her life goal being fulfilled.

So imagine the conclusion of Skypeia, previously warring enemies coming together with common cause facing down Enel applied to the final war. Factions on the board currently are the Marines, the Revolutionary Army and various pirate groups. Even Sakazuki might bury the hatchet to oppose a secret king he has unknowingly served. Worth exploring.
Expanded below Paravision's latest video: Building off Syv's proposition of Luffy's dream (pirates and Marines being friends) and Mork's latest video inwhich Enel foreshadows Im: as Skypeia is all of One Piece in microcosm - imagine the conclusion of Skypeia, wherein previously warring enemies come together with common cause to face down Enel projected outward onto the final war. Factions on the board currently are the Marines, the Revolutionary Army and various pirate groups. If the marines and the revolutionaries are the primary belligerents as the Skypeians and Shandian were, any number of pirate groups could act act as the Strawhats did, wildcards pursuing their own aims in the conflict. If Im stands in place of Enel, even Sakazuki might bury the hatchet to oppose a secret king he has unknowingly served. And if Luffy's dream is for pirates and Marines to be friends, what could embody that more than him working with, perhaps even forgiving the man who killed his brother? Dragon parallels Wyper: leading factions fighting false gods, use of guerilla tactics, their stern personalities, the face tattoos. What might be speculated about Dragon's past through this lens? Tie in another two of your pet theories: Luffy was delivered to Shandora by a giant snake and a certain pirate crew with a Serpent as a figurehead, who might have access to undersea currents with serpentine names are likely to play a big role in the story's climax. Fractally representing Noland to Roger, the treasure city of gold to the Pirate King's treasure at Raftel, both being the only major pirate treasure maps in this giant pirate story (Captain John eat your heart out). Both men and locations revealing mysteries of the Void Century, of whom Luffy fulfilled and will fulfill their stalled ambitions. The ringing of the bell, the lost message of the past; the history of the void century reverberating into the future. Top of mind, that's as far as I go, seems I'll be rereading Skypeia.
I think there's an additional parallel with Sir crocodile even before Enel. Ruler in secret Imu is what a successful crocodile would be. Started from shadows, overthrew whoever was there successfully. Then never revealed himself. Get the Pluton/whatever. Maybe even motivations match, maybe Imu really didn't like the previous regime and had his dreams crushed.
Something I'm now finding interesting about Skypiea'- there were 2 main factions (sky people and shandorians). These could kind of represent the world government and the pirates in the larger world. The reason that this is interesting is I think that it could hint that people in the world government are very aware of the power that is wielded by Imu (e.g. doflamingo as a celestial dragon possibly knew about this weapon, other celestial dragons and certainly the gorosei may also know about it.) Maybe rather than the gorosei being evil themselves, they just have no way of opposing Imu so they try their best to maintain a balance in the world which results in the least amount of death. Maybe they think that if people knew the truth and rose up against Imu that Imu would just wipe everyone out.
I'm so glad this is the video that won the poll. I ain't even mad that the Wano videos are delayed there's just too much good content in these recent chapters
So the reason the world government has been trying to get the gomu gomu fruit (the Nika fruit) is because it’s the direct natural enemy to Im. If the parallel for Skypia is that Luffy was the natural enemy of Enel, he should be for Im too.
The only criticism that I can make about the amazing world Oda created, is that he can't explore some stuff as much because of how much content he has handle. For example the intricate relationship between the WG and the Emperors. It was the unjust world the WG created what eventually corrupted people like Kaido or Big Mom and turned them into monsters. Then the Emperor's fight to obtain the power they need to change the world, but, because of their new twisted view of what the world should be, they don't work together and they also act as the big obstacle for those who want to change the world, like Luffy or Roger. The WG created the Emperors, their biggest enemies, but, the Emperors also end up crushing other people who might cause trouble for the WG. The Emperors are both the biggest enemy and best defense system for the WG, all because they can't each other and don't want to work together to create a better future, because of how much this cruel world has twisted them. It's really amazing and also beautiful, because the big difference with Luffy is that he has actually made a lot of friends and allies across the story, who will help him in the end to bring the WG, the one thing the World's strongest creature couldn't and didn't think of doing.
I think Oda did explore things fantastically up until the time skip. While I still believe One Piece is the manga that most benefits from the weekly, long form Shonen style, I think that if Oda could make One Piece monthly or even bi-weekly, with bigger chapters, he could explore things at a better pace.
An author doesn't have to lay out everything for the readers, sometimes letting things up to interpretation can lead to much more satisfying conclusions.
@@MatheusSM1000 agreed, it would probably be easier for Oda as well. In that manner I do wish One Piece had a higher age rating(I know Oda wants to write a kids story and it's his story so I'm not complaining) but Oda wants to put more mature themes in his series and the age rating is definitely keeping him back from showing everything

Imu probably sees the blue sea like a dollhouse or a Lego set. Everything has to be in place. Arrange things to look pretty and remove this that don’t fit. If Imu were to be a cruel ruler, than why make the effort to maintain a functioning world? Likely Imu doesn’t see lives as individuals, just dolls to make the sets more complete. Like do you care about your livestock’s feelings back in minecraft?
Imu is Enel but playing the dictator game a lot smarter. With Enel, his rule was inherently unstable because if you piss of your subjects someone will get you. The World government is a lot more subtle about it.

People being labelled as threats and dangerous just for thinking something different than what the government tells you? Surely something like that couldn't happen in real life.
My overall love for One Piece is definitely the importance of PERCEPTION. The navy is bad, no pirates are bad, no the world government is bad, wait no pirates are bad again 😵💫
I think Oda thought about this theme from the begging but not had an exact idea at the time. One piece was transformed into a more "traditional" shonen over the years but at the same time transformed into a story with more depth. some examples to demonstrate it: the Redhair pirates, the first that we saw, use fire weapons. after them, almost no one but low-rank marines uses it. It hardly makes sense to them to use it. That shows Oda had a different idea in mind at the time, the power scale would be far less than it is. So I think Oda thought about some themes at the begging and work on them, but how the themes will be delivered is far, far different from what he imagined at the time.

Both Skypiea and also Dressrosa Arcs basically sum up condensed the whole One Piece world story series. Imu-Sama is basically both Enel a very Maniacal God Complex Megalomaniac God Wannabe and Doflamingo a Pure Evil Psychopath Immortality-Seeker God Wannabe combination but in a greater higher bigger broader worldwide grobal scale, Enel's Raigo God Divine Punishment Doflamingo's Sixteen Holy Bullets Divine God's Execution God's Thread and Imu's Sixteen Death Ray Lasers Beams Hurricane Fireballs like ability weapon..... Basically they're Mini Imu LOL

Dis video is amazing, relatively short, concise, coherent and PERFECTLY explains the narrative side of Enel/Doffy/Imu, their similarities, functions in the story and most importantly, their CONTRAST. Really easy to follow n understand+ immediately transfers your interpretations, speculations and understandings of this aspect of the narrative. I personally speculate Imu keeps himself hidden cuz he knows, first hand, that dictatorship, censorship and the act of stealin peoples freedom, will ALWAYS lead to rebellious acts unless u do it from the shadows, anonymously and in a disguised way. Edit: Doffy’s character is the prime example of narrative characterization and story themes gettin in the way of character portrayal and development- he’s set up to be dis jokester, easygoing, levelheaded manipulator, but as soon as luffy gets in his way- as u said- masks off, angry n rash decisions. Of course dis leads up to Imu TRULY bein a behind the shadows manipulator. Was dis “murder” of doffys marineford characterization necessary? No, cuz Imu is literally UNKNOWN to the public, so they cant even rebel against him, in contrast to Doffy in dresrossa. I believe Doffys character n Dressrosa as an arc would’ve both benefited from doffy bein a better puppeteer, maybe havin better strategies n plannin n allies but less raw strength and power, birdcage was stupid af. Imu might try his cleansin without revealin himself n his tyranny. Sure hope he doesn’t lose his cool as soon as luffy fumbles a plan or two.
It really feels like we’re headed towards the end now and all the pieces Oda has been setting up for the past 20+ years are starting to come together. Can’t wait to see where he takes the story and what he has planned for Im.
I've noticed that One Piece, Bleach and Naruto have this similarity in that the lands that the main characters live in isn't as black and white as we the readers once thought. One Piece as explained here, Bleach in that the Soul Society has a very dark past ( imprisoning the Soul King, Captains going to hell, all to maintain balance), and Naruto with the 5 Nation's raging war and Konoha's dark past (The Uchiha extermination, Danzo himself, etc).
More on Imu: I think Imu is another evil member of the D clan but one from the void century that's still alive. My reasons for this relate to my theory on Imu symbolizing the Dark Sun that I wrote on Mr Morj's last video on Imu. Long story short while Luffy is the sun and Teach/Blackbeard is Darkness, Imu is the Dark Sun, the currupted ruler that controls the world like a false god from behind the scenes illuminati style. In turn this would make him a currupted version of the ideals symbolized by the sun, aka Luffy, and thus another evil version of him aka another evil D. This may be supported by the possible fact that just like Enel is a proto version of Imu so may be the case with Roxx D Xebec, who may symbolize a failed attempt to become a dark sun/ ruler of the world since that's what he literally tried to do. So if Enel is connected to Imu by the fact that they're both god like figures that rule over their respective worlds from afar then there's a possibility that Roxx, an evil D who tried to become the king of the world but failed, serves as a hint that the one who actually does rule the world is also an evil D. Now why do I think Imu may be from the void century? Throughout the series we've had various characters that truly represent the symbol of the Sun, aka the king of the pirates, the most free man in the world and all of them are from the D clan. There's of course Luffy the current hero of the story who literally has the powers of a sun god, there's Roger who was the hero of the previous generation who symbolizes the sun via his affiliation to gold (Gol-D Roger) which is the metal that represents the sun, and there's the posioble hero of the void century, the original Joy Boy who is probably the orignial D if not the main D of his time and probably the king/head of the forgotten kingdom of the VC wich was probably a kingdom of free sea fearing pirates, aka the D clan that was probably called the Kingdom of the Dawn (See Joy Boy's theory and Library of Ohara's theory videos on this subject). We also know that both Luffy and Roger had to face evil members of the D clan that served as their evil counterparts: Luffy has Blackbeard and Roger had Roxx. So following that pattern that would mean that Joy Boy also had an evil D to deal with who I believe is Imu, who unlike the last evil D won against Joy Boy and went of to create the World Government and is somehow still alive after century. Well that's my "short" theory. Share your opinions or take if you please. Thanks.
I think that Imu could easily end up becoming my favorite One Piece villain! I can hardly wait to see more of him and learn more about this very enigmatic character!
@@kingflockthewarrior202 well she wasn’t really aiming for Sabo actually. Sabo just happened to be on that island that was gonna get wiped out nonetheless.
Enel & Imu = Enki & Enlil. They are Sumerian gods, who made humans their slaves to mine gold. ( skypiea is a city of gold.) oda took inspiration from ancient history. also enlil & enki are said to be extra-terrestrials = enel from the moon.
This is good it's going to Sumerian mythos since this confirms Urogue is going to play a big part in the future of the story! An adding on what you said I wonder will Oda be so obvious on this connection you've made and reveal Enel is actually Imu's brother.
Ngl, the past events during the last two years can be seen paralleled by One Piece's theme of how we value morals and freedom. At 7:36, when people not questioning authority, I just couldn't help but think about how powerful hive mentality can be.
I also keep saying that Skypiea is a microcosmic of the whole OP, it's an important arc. I said to some people after they finished OP, go back to Skypiea.
Tenryubiito wear space outfits. Enel the GOD went to the moon. Enel was refined. His DF scychronized 100% with his body and gained the authority to warm Buggys throne.
If only it didn't took so bloody long getting to this point....So many wild goose chases, cliches, self-repeats and blatant fillers that I stopped caring about the larger mysteries of the One Piece world just about when the Dressrosa arc was ending, thereby abandoning the series entirely. But it's great to hear that Oda's storytelling business is about to pick up finally.
@@Mizikame @Tray Waters It has been a while since I read it (and it wasn't week to week), so I don't remember everything I thought was bad. I don't enjoy fights for fights sake (at least in One Piece), and I didn't care much about Luffy winning the Mera mera no mi, so I thought the colloseum fights are a waste of time. The colloseum fights also introduce many side characters that did not seem to have a role in the story other than fighting, which I also thought was a waste of time. The arc is better in hindsight because many of those characters became part of the grand fleet, but while reading it, I was not motivated to care about these characters. For example, even though Lucy vs. Don Jin Chao seemed to be presented as an important plot point, I did not care about Jin Chao (, his back story) nor their fight. (I also didn't think Luffy could possibly lose that fight.) I'm sure Dressrosa has some peak moments in the first half, but I do care about how much the author accomplishes in how much time. For example, the Jaya and Zou arcs are two top quality arcs because even though they might not reach the emotional peaks of bigger arcs, the amount that is accomplished in a short amount of time is excellent. The first half of Dressrosa is about as long as Punk Hazard, and I enjoyed Punk Hazard so much more. Because even if Punk Hazard also doesn't have much emotional depth or high stakes, I did very much enjoy the sense of adventure, the comedy, the mystery, and the crew interactions. I know that some fans love Dressrosa and I personally know someone for who Dressrosa is their favorite arc. To me this is a bit difficult to understand, but different people, different tastes I guess. And I think Dressrosa is better upon reread. So you guys love Dressrosa including the first half?
The one positive I can say about Wano and by extension, this latest chapter is that Skypeia is getting a lot more love. It definitely has issues as an arc, pacing, awkward flashback placement etc., but I argue it embodies everything that makes One Piece excellent, good worldbuilding, excellent villains, and some awesome lore. And to see Oda having not forgotten about the arc with Im and how he managed to incorporate it has me very excited to see what he does next. Hopefully, we get another Sky Island at some point and perhaps, Enel's return? That would be dope.
I think people are just used to fast paced mangas and don’t like to wait for the climax. I would feel the same way too except for the fact that Oda actually takes his time because he takes inspiration from real life events and couples that with lessons he tries to convey in accordance with his own philosophy. Therefore he cannot just rush the story. It isn’t just random. It is very calculated. That’s what I love about One Piece. It’s very philosophically profound
Mum can we get Imu? No we have Imu at home. Imu at home: Enel. This has been my though since the chapter was released. Also I can totally see Gear 5 Luffy bouncing back the weapon attack.
And I think luffy going to go to the moon after everything because the bell was way above skypeia n it was signal of something so that's y I think the moon will be the last arc for luffy after everything with imu
I would like if Im's power would be the ability (maybe as devil fruit) to destroy/erase everything that he/she imagines. Maybe this is why there was a map and the crossed out island - so Im could imagine that it would be destroyed. This would be a great opposite for Luffy aka Nika - who can create everything he imagines. So it's all about creativity, which than of course would be a nice meta theme about the power of art/ mangas/ comics etc.
Enel is evolving. Press B to cancel. Wait, there is a pokemon. Enel evolved to Imu at lvl 35. Imu wants to learn Doom Laser. Imu forgot Diplomacy and learnt Doom Laser. Imu used Doom Laser against Lulucia. It is very effective.
Luffy's alias as Lucy in an arc where the main villain is a celestial dragon aka a "God" is another over looked example of oda emphasizing Luffy as God's natural enemy
If we focus on similarities then we can also say that we will have a grand party in the end just like we had in skypiea and that GRAND party can also be luffy's dream. and this will also be complete circle for liberation since we heard DRUMS OF LIBERATION first time in skypiea only

This joke theory got more upvotes and support
Ppl on Reddit usually don’t like exploring new ideas, just piggybacking off of an established consensus
Recently parvision said that luffy's dream was to make pirates and navy friends just like in skypiea where both the sky people become friends and share the land conversely here both navy and pirates will end up sharing the seas
Definetely makes more sense than the world party theory.
One of you best analysis hands down, it's amazing how the previous stories keep retroactively getting better and better as their true intent gets slowly revealed to us.

As Nux Taku once said, "Skypiea is a microcosm of the One Piece story (Or world)." Great video, Morj
I knew you watch that hyperventilating dude with a cool jacket that talks to a brick
I doubt this. Sounds ridiculous that Robin would have a nice chat and some tea with a major psychopathic villain lol.
@@jonboner1731 like she did with enel, you mean?

Same here! He should have Conqueror’s Haki by this time in the Series since he conquered the Moon, the Space Pirates, and the Robot Tontatta Army and will be able to stack his Lightning DF Abilities with the Base Conqueror’s Haki Lightning-Shockwaves like he did with his DF and Observation Haki ⚡️

Expanded below Paravision's latest video:
Building off Syv's proposition of Luffy's dream (pirates and Marines being friends) and Mork's latest video inwhich Enel foreshadows Im: as Skypeia is all of One Piece in microcosm - imagine the conclusion of Skypeia, wherein previously warring enemies come together with common cause to face down Enel projected outward onto the final war.
So Enel is essentially oda introducing us to the final boss without introducing us to the final boss..
Yup very canon
Something I'm now finding interesting about Skypiea'- there were 2 main factions (sky people and shandorians).
These could kind of represent the world government and the pirates in the larger world.
The reason that this is interesting is I think that it could hint that people in the world government are very aware of the power that is wielded by Imu (e.g. doflamingo as a celestial dragon possibly knew about this weapon, other celestial dragons and certainly the gorosei may also know about it.)
Maybe rather than the gorosei being evil themselves, they just have no way of opposing Imu so they try their best to maintain a balance in the world which results in the least amount of death.

Very canon
Skypiea is truly a microcosm of the larger One Piece world.

And this idea fits with One Piece itself as a masterpiece work of art as well
We are made to believe this is a story about a boy trying to be the best pirate in the world
But we slowly identify that actually this story is much bigger than Luffy
It's about the destiny of the world and the dream of all the people
It's about building a better tomorrow for the world despite authorities trying to divide and conquer us
It's about the inevitable dawn that will end the night of tyranny
It's about the will of the people passed down through history coming crushing upon tyrants abusing their power
Which is actually the history our own real world is going through now
Lol. There is no one-world government oppressing us in the real world.
Tats why I wanna be a pirate in the real world like ruffy
Both Skypiea and also Dressrosa Arcs basically sum up condensed the whole One Piece world story series. Imu-Sama is basically both Enel a very Maniacal God Complex Megalomaniac God Wannabe and Doflamingo a Pure Evil Psychopath Immortality-Seeker God Wannabe combination but in a greater higher bigger broader worldwide grobal scale, Enel's Raigo God Divine Punishment Doflamingo's Sixteen Holy Bullets Divine God's Execution God's Thread and Imu's Sixteen Death Ray Lasers Beams Hurricane Fireballs like ability weapon..... Basically they're Mini Imu LOL

Say what you will about certain individual arcs…it is undeniable just how godlike the 20+ year set up for the broader overarching story has been
Dis video is amazing, relatively short, concise, coherent and PERFECTLY explains the narrative side of Enel/Doffy/Imu, their similarities, functions in the story and most importantly, their CONTRAST.

If only it didn't took so bloody long getting to this point....So many wild goose chases, cliches, self-repeats and blatant fillers that I stopped caring about the larger mysteries of the One Piece world just about when the Dressrosa arc was ending, thereby abandoning the series entirely. To be fair, I think Dressrosa (at least the first half) is one of the worst arcs in the manga series.
@@apoptosisduellinks109 why?
@@apoptosisduellinks109 Lol what?
(I also didn't think Luffy could possibly lose that fight.)
I'm sure Dressrosa has some peak moments in the first half, but I do care about how much the author accomplishes in how much time.
So you guys love Dressrosa including the first half?
these kind of videos are what make Morj shine
The one positive I can say about Wano and by extension, this latest chapter is that Skypeia is getting a lot more love. It definitely has issues as an arc, pacing, awkward flashback placement etc., but I argue it embodies everything that makes One Piece excellent, good worldbuilding, excellent villains, and some awesome lore. And to see Oda having not forgotten about the arc with Im and how he managed to incorporate it has me very excited to see what he does next. Hopefully, we get another Sky Island at some point and perhaps, Enel's return? That would be dope.
you put Noland's flashback in the middle of kaido V Luffy and I would still like it
@@medimed4772 Oh yeah. The flashback is still great and it doesn’t bother me that much. It’s my second favorite flashback in all of OP.
the pacing issue is int he anime production because of fluff, but the story is perfext overall.
It’s very philosophically profound

great vid great analysis this is why I'm here
I would like if Im's power would be the ability (maybe as devil fruit) to destroy/erase everything that he/she imagines.
Damn, maybe I gotta go read skypiea again.
Like all your theories. Thanks morj
If we focus on similarities then we can also say that we will have a grand party in the end just like we had in skypiea and that GRAND party can also be luffy's dream. and this will also be complete circle for liberation since we heard DRUMS OF LIBERATION first time in skypiea only
