She allowed someone else to live there, and she charged that person $3000 a month. She rented it out, meaning charged someone to live there. Obviously the person(s) didn’t know it was low income housing, or they would’ve been caught her.

There are people who generate passive income by putting a 20+ years savings from working 2-3 jobs over the years, and rent it out to others. They sacrifice sleep, entertainments, live cheaply, rent out 1 bedroom having 4+ people sharing, etc. I know a few of those, and they said it is very hard work.

Actually several things pop out, being a federal tax auditor, the IRS should pull her return and see what this woman is reporting, if she’s renting out these apartments for enormous amounts of income, what is she showing on her income tax return, what is her residence address, what expenses is she claiming?, There’s a ton that the IRS should be jumping in on this one

Eric Ryan , what the IRS does in that case is verify who is living in that residence at the time, there’s lots of public records available for the address to do a search and see who is occupying the unit at a particular time, even just electricity bill or utility bill or phone bill traceable to that address. Also they pull the address itself and see who is filing tax returns with that address reported on it .. They have a ton of lead information on every person, if it gets really bad, they also put a requirement out for that landlord’s bank records and other receipts to verify income that’s going in and out of her accounts
White collar crime is largely ignored particularly when governments are involved. Put out a SF whistle blower reward and see how many RATS can be flushed out with fines and seizures to pay the whistle blowers.
It’s simple. Send the utility companies the list of bmr residences and the names that should occupy it. If another name pops up it’s red flagged and gets a home visit. If the person is caught, then they automatically get audited. Every week they rented out that bmr residence turns into a $1000 fine and automatic sale of the residence. The fines will be paid by the sale proceeds, and levied against that persons assets for the remaining balance. They will also be charged with felony defrauding the state, and the fines cannot be discharged through bankruptcy. The fines will be used to develop newer areas along with external capital investment and the expansion of the bart system to the new area. Why can’t politicians figure that out.

This is almost as bad as the guy in Seattle who had panhandled for over two years in downtown pretending to be one of the homeless. Someone followed him one day at the end to see him get a car out of a parking garage and drive to one of the gated communities in a BMW. This is an urban myth. I have heard this story told so many times with little variables changed but still, the same story. I think the first time I heard it was maybe 40 years ago. No body is getting rich panhandling but stories like this give permission to people to ignore the homeless.

They surveiled panhandlers and caught a few going to luxury cars after their "days work" going to nice homes. The investigators also took note of how many people gave them money (bills not change). As a low income individual, I try to apply once for an apartment and I had all the requirements except they told me I was 2 poor to apply 😒 even tho I was able to afford the monthly payment I got denied an opportunity 🤷🏻♀️... oh well my mother in law is giving us her home so kind of worked out for the best 🙂

I used to work with a pair of sisters who’s whole entire family was on subsidized housing. Their parents where not legally married and both applied for low income housing and were approved separately they live in the same apartment complex and rent out one of the units to their daughters. I didn’t know where they lived exactly but if I would of found out I would have reported it. It’s sad that people do this, there’s so many vulnerable people and families out there instead these roaches take advantage of the system and make it harder for people to actually get help smh

If the parents were living together in a unit the one they rented to the daughter would be available for the next person on the list for low income housing (who most likely is not their daughter). So now by renting it to their daughter, the opportunity is not available and the program isn't working the way it is intended to. My father's story and many like his, my father had plenty of chances to make his life better at and earlier age but he chose to get off work and not get an education. Stuck in the same work environment his whole life. When he got old, felt he couldn't go to school any more so gave up. I told him go learn the basics an English class. Decided he didn't need to. All my life he tells me to go get an education. See the irony. When he eventually found something else to supplement his hard labor job, he started feeling better about his outlook and income. He was able to put money into investments and such with what little he made and saved. So it doesn't matter who you are, can't complain if you don't do something to change your life and take advantage of what's out there. Like the old days with the saying, If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Most people these days don't seem to have learned that. Actually several things pop out, being a federal tax auditor, the IRS should pull her return and see what this woman is reporting, if she’s renting out these apartments for enormous amounts of income, what is she showing on her income tax return, what is her residence address, what expenses is she claiming?, There’s a ton that the IRS should be jumping in on this one

Eric Ryan , what the IRS does in that case is verify who is living in that residence at the time, there’s lots of public records available for the address to do a search and see who is occupying the unit at a particular time, even just electricity bill or utility bill or phone bill traceable to that address. Also they pull the address itself and see who is filing tax returns with that address reported on it .. They have a ton of lead information on every person, if it gets really bad, they also put a requirement out for that landlord’s bank records and other receipts to verify income that’s going in and out of her accounts
White collar crime is largely ignored particularly when governments are involved. Put out a SF whistle blower reward and see how many RATS can be flushed out with fines and seizures to pay the whistle blowers.
It’s simple. Send the utility companies the list of bmr residences and the names that should occupy it. If another name pops up it’s red flagged and gets a home visit.
If the person is caught, then they automatically get audited. Every week they rented out that bmr residence turns into a $1000 fine and automatic sale of the residence. The fines will be paid by the sale proceeds, and levied against that persons assets for the remaining balance. They will also be charged with felony defrauding the state, and the fines cannot be discharged through bankruptcy.
The fines will be used to develop newer areas along with external capital investment and the expansion of the bart system to the new area.
Why can’t politicians figure that out.

This is an urban myth. I have heard this story told so many times with little variables changed but still, the same story. I think the first time I heard it was maybe 40 years ago. No body is getting rich panhandling but stories like this give permission to people to ignore the homeless.

They surveiled panhandlers and caught a few going to luxury cars after their "days work" going to nice homes. The investigators also took note of how many people gave them money (bills not change). As a low income individual, I try to apply once for an apartment and I had all the requirements except they told me I was 2 poor to apply 😒 even tho I was able to afford the monthly payment I got denied an opportunity 🤷🏻♀️... oh well my mother in law is giving us her home so kind of worked out for the best 🙂

I am on housing, and this pisses me off! How dare these people take away housing from those of us who are homeless and really need it, just so they can get richer! They need to be thrown in prison for 25 yrs and NEVER allowed to own another home!
Like me became disabled after having two back surgeries and cannot find housing for s*** because most of the foreigners are living in the low income buildings not paying a damned thing they are eating sleeping and not even trying to find a job because they done gave them a crutch as soon as they get here and I've always worked hard even telling me I don't qualify for food stamps because I get too much disability money really I paid into the system 39 years.

How is she taking YOUR housing? She bought the place. You can apply for the exact same program. She’s in the wrong but this is a program for first time home buyers, not what is typically thought of as govt funded housing or low income.

I used to work with a pair of sisters who’s whole entire family was on subsidized housing. Their parents where not legally married and both applied for low income housing and were approved separately they live in the same apartment complex and rent out one of the units to their daughters. I didn’t know where they lived exactly but if I would of found out I would have reported it. It’s sad that people do this, there’s so many vulnerable people and families out there instead these roaches take advantage of the system and make it harder for people to actually get help smh

If the parents were living together in a unit the one they rented to the daughter would be available for the next person on the list for low income housing (who most likely is not their daughter). So now by renting it to their daughter, the opportunity is not available and the program isn't working the way it is intended to. They cheated the next person on the list out of an opportunity which should be theirs. Get it ding bat?

You think this video is bad well I was invited to a private select few on how to get taxpayers to flip the bill for Ivy League College. To my surprise being a squirrel trying to get a nut in the World the biggest culprits claiming to be poor but have literally Millions squirreled away out of sight are extremely wealthy people and I know this to be a fact because we know a family who is very well off and their daughter goes to a $70,000 per year tuition Ivy League College and they pay $6,500.. per year leaving the taxpayer to pay the rest. It’s all about hiding you assets in Whole life Insurance policies and to top it off getting a fat monthly return aswell if I did not witness it I wouldn’t believe it.....

My father's story and many like his, my father had plenty of chances to make his life better at and earlier age but he chose to get off work and not get an education. Stuck in the same work environment his whole life. When he got old, felt he couldn't go to school any more so gave up. I told him go learn the basics an English class. Decided he didn't need to. All my life he tells me to go get an education. See the irony. When he eventually found something else to supplement his hard labor job, he started feeling better about his outlook and income.
He was able to put money into investments and such with what little he made and saved. So it doesn't matter who you are, can't complain if you don't do something to change your life and take advantage of what's out there. Like the old days with the saying, If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Most people these days don't seem to have learned that. Dumb parents of course who feel their kid needs at least some kind of consolation prize even though their kid sucked at something.
Don't get me wrong. The thing this person is doing is just pure greedy. But if she's paying taxes into it, she's not benefiting anything out of it cause she won't meet the qualifications. Just another tax eating at the rich and middle class. Only the poor benefit from it and no one knows if theyll ever do anything to improve themselves.
