    Wow !! This is the first time I've seen someone use a stamp and mica powders instead of a veneer, and the result is beautiful. Your explanations were so clear and concise, you made it easy to follow along. Thank you for showing your work.

    I've never used mica powders on my clay. Does using them mean I can't water-sand my pieces for a shiny finish?

    • @wishingwellworkshop8130
      @wishingwellworkshop8130  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Darrell & Wendy Jenkinson I don't ever wet sand so this probably isn't the technique for that. This technique is all about texture. There are some other pen making lessons out there that teach a smooth and glossy finish, but this one encourages lots of dimension. You could always play around with sandpaper and mica powders and see if you like what happens! 😊

    what do you do about a lid?

    • @wishingwellworkshop8130
      @wishingwellworkshop8130  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sally Cooper you could create a base with a hole that the pen could fit in and use it as a pen holder. You could also not apply clay to the bottom half of the pen so the cap still fits. Or just not have a cap. 😊
