BTH66: Father's Day 2021 - (Luke

Welcome to worship with The Salvation Army in Maidenhead. This Sunday we take time to remember those male role-models who have influenced us towards God and for the better within our lives. We also use Luke 15 to consider the Character of God and remind ourselves of who He promises to be within our lives.
We recognise that this day isn't always easy, and for many often this day can be painful and overwhelming. Be assured of our thoughts and prayers in these days.
During our worship we celebrate the goodness of God displayed in His character. In song we give praise and also remind ourselves of our salvation story in singing When I was lost. In prayer we focus on families, our own families and the church family and ask God to bless, comfort and support us all. In Word, we consider the fact that God is closer that we often understand and is the ultimate Father that we can depend on.
Our prayer is that this Father's day you will come before the Father in worship and as we consider who God is He will draw alongside and take you deeper in your understanding and experience of Himself.
