Boegoeberg - Ep3 - Eezi-Awn Jazz Rooftop Tent at Kliphuis

On this trip we visited Boegoeberg to go camping high in the mountains with our brand new rooftop tent for the first time. Boegoeberg is close to Clanwilliam in the heart of the main Rooibos Tea producing area in South Africa.
Frikkie joined us on this trip :-D
Our experience is presented in four videos, with each having a distinct focus:
Ep1: The road to Boegoeberg, tour of the Rooibos Tea harvesting and processing on the farm and a visit to the beautiful Boegoeberg main campsite on the farm (with very welcome swim in the sublime swimming pool).
Ep2: Driving the demanding Boegoeberg 4x4 trail up the mountain to the Kliphuis campsite. Please fasten your seatbelt! This mountain road was hectic and had our hearts beating well above normal, but what a thrill.
Ep3: Setting up camp at Kliphuis campsite with our new Eezi-Awn Jazz rooftop tent and relaxing by drinking in the spectacular beauty of the surrounding area and enjoying the evening braai.
Ep4: Waking up the next morning at Kliphuis campsite to a delightful show of ever changing mist around us. We also take you with us on our exciting descent from Kliphuis on the Boegoeberg 4x4 trail.

Yes, thanks! Every time after I’ve folded in the tent I realise the flysheet rods were not folded in as well! 🤣. Fully agree, Eezi-Awn is great! 👍

That sunset over the mountains was simply spectacular! I can only imagine the sense of peace you must have felt sitting in the stillness. I also love when scenery almost goes into silhouette as evening approaches, and the mountains get that blue tinge and prominent outline to them 😊 Excellent drone photography!
Frikkie was such a rascal rolling in the sand straight after his shower 😅 If he could talk, I bet he'd tell us all about the amazing adventures he's been on with you 😃

Well, Frikkie is Frikkie... 🤣 He knows what he likes, and staying clean is not part of this 😂 As you may have gathered by now, we did make it down the mountain in one piece 😅 Will show you in the last episode this coming Sunday...
