@@MrBeasty85 Hi! I do have a few hygrometers. I did notice a difference, but I can't remember by how much.

I checked again and it appears that my LeVoit is only one % higher than my external hygrometer which is less than 2ft away from humidifier.

Thanks for this video! I also have this humidifier. A couple tips you may find helpful: 1) I use a Pur water purifier that stays attached at the spigot (like $25 from Target) to get rid of lead in my water. Definitely something you should do in NYC! Also, it's awesome because when filling the humidifier I just use the purifier, and it gets rid of minerals so that majorly reduces mineral buildup on the humidifier without having to purchase impractical jugs of special water.; and 2) It's important (per the instruction manual) to unscrew the 'pipe' part of the humidifer (in the video you didn't unscrew it, but it takes just a couple seconds), then just soak the 2 parts separated.

Thank you for the tips! I will try using filtered water. Also, thank you for pointing out to unscrew pipe as well. Happy growing!

Thank you for the cleaning and disinfecting of the humidifier tutorial. Very helpful. Reminds me I have to clean and disinfect the small one I have in my office.

Hello imaplantdaddy, Thanks for explaining how to clean the Levoit humidifier. Greatly appreciated. Additional idea to consider: Try adding 10 drops of NutriBiotic Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE), 4 oz bottle, to the water tank before using each time. It kills bacteria and mold and prevents growth.

Thanks for your video! FYI if you have a reverse osmosis water filter that is distilled water. And if you don’t have one it might be a good excuse to get one since you’ll be benefiting from it more than just drinking.

Your humidifier looks brand new! Did you clean it before making this video? I clean mine about every 2 weeks and using it 50% of the day on average. And it always has a layer of brown gunk between cleanings!

i think they cant... need to have the thing on bottom to let the water going in the system ... if they put this up ... gravity will never happen lol

How often do you clean the and desinfect your machine? Or do you clean and desinfect at the same time?

    • @imaplantdaddy

I try to clean once a month during the winter. Sometimes I clean and disinfect at same time, depends on time available and energy or if its really dirty.

What about the part that sticks out on the bottom of the tank? It gets very dirty and doesn’t come apart for cleaning.

Step 1 - don't buy it. Mine is absurdly, impossibly hard to clean, tiny slots and crevices. I loathe it.
