I love Hitchhiking. It is always awesome when performed. Their mvs just don't do them justice as great perfomers. They love doing throw backs to different time periods. This song has alot of soul and funk to me it's got a 70s flare.

Well SHINee is like super famous in japan 🇯🇵. They might not well known in US but they are famous. Agree that the big group now is just overrated . I have been a fan of Shinee since they debut n they r still relevant to me.
I'm always amazed over how BIG they are in Japan. like, Japan adores them. and haha, SHINee would not be considered a small group for sure - I think newer fans have this idea that unless you're breaking records with streaming & everywhere in the US that a group isn't popular, but it'd be hilarious to think of SHINee as a smaller group.

Yeah shinee have that Jackson 5 feel to them especially with jonghyuns singing and taemins dancing, alot of their songs sound Micheal Jackson inspired, like married to the music, love like oxygen, and Sherlock got the Micheal Jackson feel. if they made an mv for each song of shinee's that is fire. it would be an endless task. their discography is amazing, i personally would rate it 95/100, because i do have personal tastes and they did do lots of experimental stuff, but in my very humble opinion shinee doesn't do throwaways, every song matters, the subjectivity of art is enough of a variable to allow any further margin of error.

Loved this reaction. I think this is the first I've seen for Stranger from SHINee's DxDxD 2016 concert. Imo, this performance narrowly edges out Stranger at SWC 2015 (which was already high octane, but they really upped their game and it showed). Thank you so much for another enjoyable reaction video.

Before other kpop group, there was already shinee. They made a name at a very young age., A group of boys who have really good vocals in different range. They have different personalities too. Onew is the eldest, a very good leader but too clumsy, he embarrassed himself a lot on shows, tripping on his own feet. He is an only child.He has the best vocal. Him and JJong. Jjong has his mom and elder sister but he was the head of the family. Never talk about his dad. Very talended but suffered depressions. Key is a social media expert and most active. He is a man of his own style that idols appreciate the most. He is a femininish (if thats the word.) guy. Grow up with his grandma. Key is an only child. Minho is a sports man, got it from his dad who is a popular soccer coach in korea. He belongs to a well off family with an eldest brother. Very competitive who hate losing. Good thing he always win. (Not really but most LOL) Taemin is their brat younger brother whom they have to watch over specially during interviews. LOL. Tae was always and i think will forever be the kpop baby who is loved by many. He was the support of his family who is now living a good life. He has an older brother. Watch their performance at Tokyo Dome which is the highlights if Shinees concert career. They have performed infront of more than 50 thousand people in one night and again...Shinee dominated japan korea etc...You can check at Wikipedia.LOL! These boys are my babies since debut 2008. Though i fall in love with GOT7 last year they will always have the first place in my heart. Now im married and i realise were getting old. If you want some ballad recs I have so many to recommend bc Shinee ballads are god tier. They only make mv for title tracks only such as dream girl, everybody, view, 1 of 1 etc . Strangers and hitchhiking are their b side tracks and the company usually not making mv for b side (except for special occasion such as colorful and deja boo) ... Try to watch their concert once, and you cant never get over it, it will be better if you watch the concert live in japan or korea because they always put a little extra in those countries :)

Again, I will ask you, why do you feel you need an MV to enjoy "Hitchhiking" and "Stranger" even more? What do you expect to see and hear from an MV that you don't get from a live performance? Just curious, what is it about an MV that you think would make these songs better? If anything, I think most of the time, a live performance is better than an MV, and you can watch this same live performance as much as and as often as you want, just like you would an MV. Plus, there are no confusing storylines or images that distract you from the amazing dancing and vocals, in live performances. :D If you enjoy the song you can download it and listen to it just like any song on SHINee's album. SHINee live is 3000% better than any of their studio versions of their songs which are the versions you would hear in the MV.
The reason why you think they're inspired by MJ is probably because 2 of the members are heavily influenced by him. Jonghyun's singing style is based off michael jackson and Taemin himself has mentioned in multiple occassions that the person who inspired him to dance is Michael Jackson and that his dancing is based on a lot of MJ's habits and mannerisms while performing. Before other kpop group, there was already shinee. They made a name at a very young age., A group of boys who have really good vocals in different range. They have different personalities too.
Onew is the eldest, a very good leader but too clumsy, he embarrassed himself a lot on shows, tripping on his own feet. He is an only child.He has the best vocal. Him and JJong.
Jjong has his mom and elder sister but he was the head of the family. Never talk about his dad. Very talended but suffered depressions.
Key is a social media expert and most active. He is a man of his own style that idols appreciate the most. He is a femininish (if thats the word.) guy. Grow up with his grandma. Key is an only child.
Minho is a sports man, got it from his dad who is a popular soccer coach in korea. He belongs to a well off family with an eldest brother. Very competitive who hate losing. Good thing he always win. (Not really but most LOL)
Taemin is their brat younger brother whom they have to watch over specially during interviews. LOL. Tae was always and i think will forever be the kpop baby who is loved by many. He was the support of his family who is now living a good life. He has an older brother.
Watch their performance at Tokyo Dome which is the highlights if Shinees concert career. They have performed infront of more than 50 thousand people in one night and again...Shinee dominated japan korea etc...You can check at Wikipedia.LOL! These boys are my babies since debut 2008. Though i fall in love with GOT7 last year they will always have the first place in my heart. Now im married and i realise were getting old. I want to see them having a gilrfriend at least hahaha> Too long sorry....
I always forget that Stranger is originally a japanese song lol. I really only listen to the korean version. I'm so excited for you check out their bsides and live performances - you're gonna get into their more experimental stuff as you go deeper in their discography! Can't wait for you to hopefully react to one of my favorite songs by them One Minute Back. SHINe is also a great song. Man there are so many bsides I want to see react you haha. If you want some ballad recs I have so many to recommend bc Shinee ballads are god tier.
Also lol at Shinee being a 'small' group - they just aren't as heavily pushed or known in the us compared to others but they are giants in asia and especially japan. And are considered one of the foundational groups for kpop but I do get the point of what you are saying! I will also always regret that I happened to studying abroad in Europe when they came to North America for their tour bc i totally would have flown up to Canada to see them.

exactly what you said! "some of the not-as-popular groups can be much better than the overhyped popular ones". straight outta my mouth. it makes me sad/angry that SHINee is one of the most talented groups out there but they don't get half the recognition that others get.
They only make mv for title tracks only such as dream girl, everybody, view, 1 of 1 etc . Strangers and hitchhiking are their b side tracks and the company usually not making mv for b side (except for special occasion such as colorful and deja boo) ...
Try to watch their concert once, and you cant never get over it, it will be better if you watch the concert live in japan or korea because they always put a little extra in those countries :)
Every live performance you will watch you will be amazed why? because my boys are the Kings of that, and because you only did MVs 70% of their songs you don't know and believe they don't make our lives easy because if one song isn't your favorite they will make a live performance of that song and ask you and now? kkk Most of the B-sides don't have MVs and the best is watch caseshows or concerts . Again, I will ask you, why do you feel you need an MV to enjoy "Hitchhiking" and "Stranger" even more? What do you expect to see and hear from an MV that you don't get from a live performance? Just curious, what is it about an MV that you think would make these songs better? If anything, I think most of the time, a live performance is better than an MV, and you can watch this same live performance as much as and as often as you want, just like you would an MV. Plus, there are no confusing storylines or images that distract you from the amazing dancing and vocals, in live performances. :D If you enjoy the song you can download it and listen to it just like any song on SHINee's album. SHINee live is 3000% better than any of their studio versions of their songs which are the versions you would hear in the MV.
The reason why you think they're inspired by MJ is probably because 2 of the members are heavily influenced by him. Jonghyun's singing style is based off michael jackson and Taemin himself has mentioned in multiple occassions that the person who inspired him to dance is Michael Jackson and that his dancing is based on a lot of MJ's habits and mannerisms while performing.
