The port to plug in the power supply brick (which seems to be from a laptop) is on the BOTTOM of the Volare, instead of on the back of the table where it would be MUCH easier to plug in. Combined with 3 wickedly sharp pointed feet, you likely will gouge the F out of whatever shelf its on while trying to plug in the power supply unless you are extremely careful. The table also does not have RCA jacks on the rear. Instead, the tone arm comes with long, terminated cables to plug into your preamp (you're SOL if you want to use a different cable o arm). It doesn't even come with a real manual, just 1 page with brief instructions. No illustrations or parts list. Dr F's web site is no help either. This is not an inexpensive table. In fact, even inexpensive tables don't have these flaws. I really wonder why Upscale Audio and reviews I have read haven't mention these issues.
The "greatest most inventive lyricist of all time who wrote things that made you say who the hell thought of that" was Neil Peart, drummer of RUSH, and one of the most badass drummers of all time!.... Died 1/7/20 Rest in peace Professor
Thanks for reviewing a german product! Greetings from the Black Forest, Germany! Check out Acoustic Signature, Turntables from (near) Stuttgart, Germany!
Hey Kevin, If the free T-Shirt deal is still on then I have the answer to your question, the artist you are referring to is Lyle Lovett. I wear a XX T-shirt LOL Thanks!
A great, inventive lyricist is definitely Kurt Cobain. He came to mind when you said, "Who in the hell thinks about that?"For example in Heart-Shaped Box: "Broken hymen of your highness, I'm left black. Throw down your umbilical noose so I can climb right back."
I just wish you guys where here to found, as i would buy from u everyday at the week (or so). Seems like you will be treated like a king, and even get to swoop in own equipment. That's not all that common here in DK, and many of us would love to have a shop, where they can trade in HIFI. Love 2 watch these vd' s :-) Cheers from Denmark
A late vote for Jagger. When he's "on" (which is frequently over a long career), he's written some real keepers, many of which are unknown to "Hot Rocks" fans and haters.
why are you mentioning birds and erections when discussing a turntable? And wouldn't it have been a good idea to demonstrate a turntable's function by playing a record on it?

I know the contest is over, but the best lyricist is Tom Waits
Yes but it should be Jimmy Webb.

But I always thought Frank Zappa's lyrics were pretty cool too
Lyle Lovett - Church
Don't think he'd like Rega TTs with their ultra low mass construction.
Feickert? I don’t even know her.
Lyle Lovett?
Bernie Taupin - Might not be the answer you’re looking for, but he’s definitely my favorite and I think the best lyricist.
