    Perfect 💞 Question Does the apples last longer than 1-2 days like the grapes or longer?

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, much longer especially if you place them in the refrigerator. They last a very long time.

  • @tiffanycook3666
    @tiffanycook3666 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great tutorial. How long would these last outside of the fridge? I’m wondering if they can be added to my Easter baskets

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn’t suggest putting these in Easter baskets because these are like candied grapes. Leave them out on the table in a cute bowl or leave them in the refrigerator. Just FYI if you leave them out the candy will break down faster. It’s a cut opened fruit and there’s a high potential of the juice leaking and breaking down the candy when they are not refrigerated.

    If I dip my candy apples tomorrow and they are due Saturday is that to soon?? They are clean and they are ready to be dipped

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Whole apples try to wait at least Thursday or Friday. Place them in the refrigerator bagged but leave the bags opened until Saturday to avoid condensation. For sliced apples do them the same day. I dip all of my candy apples the same day unless I have over 50 to make, and then I make them the day before. However, at the end of the day it’s up to you, but I like mine fresh as possible.

  • @veronicabrown11
    @veronicabrown11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Did u dip as soon as you took them out the freezer and how long do they last?

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I did. Sliced candied apples and candied grapes don't last long at all. Also make sure you place them back in the refrigerator after dipping. After two days in the refrigerator I toss mine out.

    Hi! Watched this and also your candied grape video. ( Just found your channel tonight 😊) I’m new to all,of this. Can you please tell me why you used the dry corn syrup for the grapes, but the regular for your apples?
    Also, you returned the grapes to the freezer, after completing. But, you put apples in fridge. Is there a reason for the difference?
    Last question, so sorry… other recipes I’ve seen are called 411. Is there any real difference?
    Thanks so much ❤️

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! I use the dry corn syrup mostly in the Spring and Summer. Due to hot heat and humidity. The dry corn syrup will help slow down the stickiness and the candy melting during hot weather or humid areas. Grapes will breakdown regardless due to the juice inside the grapes. I don't put whole apples in the fridge. I only put the sliced apples in there to help the candy stick because it's an opened fruit with juice. If you have juice leaking anywhere on your fruit this will cause bubbles too. So cut fruit and sliced apples will hit the fridge because there is a high risk of juices leaking. So freeze it.
      Yes, there's a big difference in recipes. My candy apple recipes have the perfect crunch. Other candy apple recipes tend to be too thick to bite into. I hope this helps you.

      You can reheat your candy by adding 1/2 to 1 cup of water. This is how I do mine. If I don't add water, I feel like my candy will burn on me....lol. I hope this helps you.

    Hi I wanted to ask what was the benefits of dipping the apple into lemon juice ,this is my first time dipping them and I didn't not freeze them and it dropped off so now I'm here I hope you see this but now I know freeze them.

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA

      The lemon juice prevents your apples from turning brown. Yes freeze them and make sure your candy apple mixture is cooked to 300 degrees.💕

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  ปีที่แล้ว

      LOLLLLLLLLL! Great question. Just fill it up with water. Put pot back on the stove on very low and just let it boil until it turns back into liquid form. Let it cool all the way down, and then pour it out. Take a Brillo pad and some Dawn dish liquid soap and finish cleaning it. I hope this helps you...lol.💕

    I’m a bit confused, do I still need to boil my apples in vinegar to get the wax off?

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I never use vinegar. Some people do it different. I only use what I know that works best for me and that’s lemon juice, baking soda, and salt. I hope this helps you understand.💕

    • @avanjackson2562
      @avanjackson2562 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it does, but should I boil them in that mixture and allow to sit a day or 2 before slicing and putting the candy on them? I hope that makes sense what I’m trying to ask. I just want them to come out right.

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, put them in the boiling apple cleaning method for only 6 seconds. You don't want your apples to cook because this will make your apples mushy under the candy. You want crisp apples under the candy so only boil for 6 seconds. Yes, it makes sense as a beginner you want to do everything right. To answer your questions, yes to them all.💕
