You’ll love your Lance. We went from a huge 5th wheel to a 915 Lance. It’s so easy to get around in the truck and jump into the camper when you need to. Spend time outdoors and enjoy life. I like all of the new features and finishes of a new Lance. Thanks and enjoy!
We are retiring in 3 years, and this is the truck camper we want to get. Looks amazing! It's so fun to find fellow Godly channels on TH-cam. They are few and far between! God bless y'all! ❤
Very nice. I bought a Lance 825 in 2010. I loved it! My wife and dog and I traveled all across America Canada, Alaska we saw about 15 national parks and around 20-30 nation forests maybe more we stayed at a hundred plus campgrounds . In the end we did about 22,000 miles. My point is that we put that Lance through its paces! From being up above the Arctic Circle to Key West . The 825 is a solid camper! It does have its draw backs but you can work around it. Like only one propane tank no generator and only one battery but like I said you can work around it plus we went remote a lot and carried extra everything. Enjoy the experience! I will definitely be getting another 825 or 650 soon for sure.
Wow that’s impressive! We hope to travel that much there is definitely so much still to see and we have loved it so far! Thanks for sharing and watching!
Thanks for sharing. What happened to the original 825. If you do not mind sharing what might go wrong with this model and pay attention to based on your experience. What’s the life expectancy/depreciation like? Thank you.
Nice Camper. I've lived in a state in truck camper for 3 years now still in it. I chose the Adventurer 89rb model. It's on a long bed for diesel. I chose mine for off-grid camping I have 42 gallons of fresh water which is a lot for a truck camper. I hope you have many many years of enjoyable use from your new camper.
Congratulations on your new camper! My wife and I have just purchased our first truck camper as well and are excited to hit the road. Thanks for the tour.
New here hit red button. We love west Virginia the beautiful mountain state. We had a lance 845 years ago loved it. We want another truck camper. Nice setup. Blessed travels and hiking. We love all that stuff
Very nice...way to go by purchasing from original buyer and avoid that 1st hit depreciation wise. I did the same purchasing my 2004 "815" Lance ten years ago and it's still going strong.
Very nice camper not my cup of tea but I know you guys love the woods and the hiking so I’ll be anxious to see you when you get it all stocked it certainly is compact I’m glad you like your bathroom the best
Congratulations hope your having a good time with your camper, we purchased our 825 in 2018, after adding hold downs and air bags to our 2015 Tundra we've been everywhere!
I have the 865, but next one will be 825. Thought I needed the sink in the bath, but often just use kitchen sink now. Looks like more room in your bath for showering. Also have never used the oven for baking. I keep the bunk down for storage. Stuff is handy for running out the door without opening cupboards. Will look for you on the road. Just subscribed. Thanks for sharing.
Love the Lance campers. Very high quality. We have a 865 on a Ford F-350. This provides a stress free economical go anywhere package. We boondock most of the time. We added a second battery and carry a Honda 2200 inverter generator. Also added a front hitch to carry dual sport or bicycles. Good choice! Enjoy!
I am switching over from a light truck and RV to a truck camper. I am between the Lance 825 and 850. I am also needing to buy a new truck. How is the F-350? Do you have gas or diesel? I am looking at the super cab option (not a dually). What are the specs of your F-350? We also have a Honda 2200. Does it fit in the rear storage compartment? How long do the batteries last with the solar charger? I am looking to use the camper as a winter vehicle and boondock in the parking lots of the ski hills, so I would like to know how kong i can go with the heat running full time. Have you winter camped yet? Wondering about the efficiency of the 2 propane bottles as well. Appreciate any information. Thanks. Jay
I’m excited for you guys. I have owed 3 motor homes b+ and two small C’s. Have not decided yet on the next camper. I’ll subscribe and see how you like it. My biggest unknown is how will I like having to get out of truck to enter camper. With motor homes you just get out of drivers seat and you are in the camper. Safe and dry and can get to the bathroom fast lol
Thx for the walkthrough. I didn't know Lance has the overhead bunk option. Looking at these for weekend warrior camping but I need sleeping space for my 2 young boys.
Thank you for the tour! I'm doing research now for a truck camper. Trying to figure out the best one for us. I like yours! Looking forward to seeing some of your adventures! Stay safe..
Awesome! Another Lance owner. We also just bought a new Lance truck camper this past summer and we love it.We had been looking at campers for years and finally decided on a truck camper for so many reasons to list. Your channel popped up and I noticed you have been to several places in Virginia where we live. Maybe we will see you in our travels. We live near Roanoke. Thanks for sharing your travel videos.
Nice camper. We ended up getting a 2015 850. The fridge is larger in the 850. Also two batteries and two propane tanks. Other than that they are very similar. I have a Ram duelly 4x4. I put a Big Wig sway bar and airbags on it. Also onboard air. It will go anywhere I want to take it and beyond.
Very nice looking setup guys. We just picked up our 2019 Host Mammoth Truck camper out of Bend Oregon last week, (we live in central Idaho). Because of Covid we want something that we feel safe traveling in without having to deal with airlines and motels our first planned big trip will be in May to see our Grandson who turns 1 on June 4th. This is our first truck camper as well so we’ll be watching you guys and see what we can learn. 😎
We looked at the Host but decided to keep the weight down. There is many options and we even considered the soft side truck camper. I’m so happy with the Lance and excited to go traveling in it! I will definitely be sharing our adventures!
Great video. I’m ordering a new Lance and this video really helps. I think you have the Royal Interior which is the blue color and that’s what I’m getting. Thanks for posting.
Not sure if this was already stated, but the thing that you said might be the propane is in fact the hot water heater. It is run on propane, so you were on the right track. I have a 2008 Lance 825. It is my first camper too, but I have owned it for a few years now. Hit me up if you have any questions that maybe I can help with?
We just started looking at buying a truck camper. We have a long bed truck. From your narrative, the load of yours will work for us. I do wonder if you like the wet bath? How do you keep it clean and dry it after a shower. Thanks!
Nice camper. You won’t be disappointed. I bought my first camper last fall a 2007 Lance 992 has 2 slide outs. The camper was immaculate and hardly used. Set it up in your driveway on your truck and try everything out and sleep in it before you go on your first trip. We only took a couple of short trips before winter but are looking forward to more trips this year. Safe travels. Those campers are top heavy so take it easy.
Thank you. I was comparing this to the cirrus 820 or the northstar liberty. This may be a game changer for me too as my husband and I would travel with two standard poodles. The bed would be my reprieve!
Hi Brad, love your videos. I love the 825 and I plan to contact you after the holiday weekend. The bathroom sold me. Hard to find a wet bath with that much room to stand. No reason to have a sink on a small bathroom like that. I thought I was going to get a class B van, but the lack of a decent shower and lack of towing capacity turned me off to them, not to mention the ridiculous amount of money I am saving buying a new truck and camper. I hate the small three way fridge. Is it because there are no compressor fridges that small? I think I could fit to six packs and not much more. The space needed for a 1.3 cu three way must take up a lot of room in the back. I imagine a larger compressor fridge could be larger. Is there an option for that? I would rather have no fridge than what it comes with.
We like the ability to go to places we couldn’t get a travel trailer into. There has been several locations we have boondocked or driven that a travel trailer would simply not be able to go. We also like how easy it is to park in a normal spot no need to find RV parking. We have absolutely loved traveling in our truck camper. However we understand that everyone is different and it might not work for others like it has for us. We have a video on our channel giving all our reasons why we love our truck camper of your interested. Thanks for watching and asking
Good Morning, I love the 825 and am considering purchasing one. My only concern is the fact that it has only 1 battery and one propane tank. (as opposed to the 850 that has 2 batteries and 2 propane tanks) My intention is to use the camper for winter skiing off-grid. Have you had the opportunity to camp out in the coder weather this winter? Do you find that you are running out of propane quickly? Do you carry and additional propane tank just in case? Also, how has your battery life been with the solar charger on the roof? Sorry for all of the questions, but i am seriously considering the 825 vs. the 850 and these issues are important for me to try and figure out. Thanks. Jay
We have 2 battle born lithium batteries that were added by the man we bought our camper from. We spent 10 days in March out in Utah and never had any issues with the batteries running low. We also were surprised that one propane tank lasted almost the whole time and that was using it for heat, cooking, and running the fridge. I have a video all about our trip called our trip review. Thanks for watching!
There are so many truck camper manufactures out there to choose from, it can get overwhelming. Why did you choose the Lance Model 825, and why a truck camper and not a travel trailer?
Good question! We knew we wanted a truck camper because of the accessibility to more areas to camp. Bigger RVs and travel trailers we feel limit where you can go. We also like to explore areas and move every day where we camp and the truck camper makes that easy. We looked for months and many different styles and models of truck campers. Adam saw a Lance 825 on RV Trader and we went to look at it and instantly knew it was the one. Lance campers are rated one of the best out there and it felt roomier than some of the others we looked at. Hope that answer your questions. Thanks for watching!
We researched for months too and ended up buying the Lance 825 for our RAM 2500 4x4 short bed hemi 3/4 ton. One reason for Lance is its reputation for quality built, environmentally friendly with no harmful materials like formaldehyde being built in CA. We chose this particular model due to the lighter weight, in spite of no oven, only 2 burner stove, and one propane tank. We did get the one solar panel and bought our own 2200 Honda inverter generator to enable off grid camping..
Our other reason for a Truck Camper vs a trailer was the fact that it would take up less room being stored when not in use and we can still use our truck every day. .
Could you please recommend the best truck for a 2013 Livin' Lite / Camp Lite CLTC10, 2,190 lbs/ slide in truck camper? Brochure requires a 3/4 ton (or higher) 8 foot bed and I’m partial to dually as the back end squats with full tanks. I would very much appreciate any help from anyone in the know. Thank you so much.
@@heavenlyhikesandtravels241 thanks for your video! It is really helpful! I’m trying to decide between RAM 2500 and 3500. Recent 2500 has coil springs in the rear. Is it true to your truck? So you can still add airbag and sway bar to rear with coil spring?
@@raulgool yes you can. We have the airlift 5000 and are right at capacity. We have never had a issue and with the airbags we don’t notice much sway. Truck camper rides smooth in our opinion. Hope that helps.
A 2022 RAM RAM 2500 Power Wagon crew cab 4X4 has 1564lbs as Maximum Payload Capacity. Yet a 2021 Lance 825 wet weight is 2,722 lbs. Does your camper weight exceed the Maximum Payload Capacity of your truck?
Our payload capacity is 3100 lbs and the dry weight of camper is around 1900 lbs so we good. We also added airbags to give added stability. Check out my other video where I go over details.
I have joined the Lance truck camper FB page and a lot of people there go with the Torklift timbrens (I may be writing this wrong) , some put in airbags and some mention the Helwig sway bar. I guess it depends on your truck and which model you buy.
You’ll love your Lance. We went from a huge 5th wheel to a 915 Lance. It’s so easy to get around in the truck and jump into the camper when you need to. Spend time outdoors and enjoy life. I like all of the new features and finishes of a new Lance. Thanks and enjoy!

What truck did you use model, make ,1/2 ton,3/4 ton,1 ton ECT.?
I can answer all your questions in my other video detailing our complete set up.
Have you done any suspension modifications to the truck? Air bags? Or anything like that
Yes we added airbags.

Yes and we got a set of airbags so it feels great didn’t notice much sway if any.
Do you mind telling me how much you spent? We’re looking into purchasing one!
We bought it used for $28,000 found it on RV Trader.
We just ordered the same 825 and its costing $36.000 brand new from the factory loaded with extras.
That is the one I want I'm trying to get the money up getting truck and camper
You won’t be sorry it’s a fantastic camper we love it!
I still do not understand why Lance puts u-dinette , no leg room and less table top.
Really nice camper like the light colors inside. Check the weight limit on your truck it’s really important that you do so. thank you great video.
very good
Very nice!
Thanks we enjoyed all your walk through videos! You do a great job!
Ignore the payload comments. You did your research.
Heating and cooling?
Yes heat is from propane and there is an air conditioner also.
@@heavenlyhikesandtravels241 thanks for the reply! I love your camper. Looking forward to seeing some of your adventures on TH-cam
It seems like small outside but bigger inside
Yeah it does seem small from outside but plenty of room on inside. At least it is for us!

I didn’t know it wasn’t. I never saw that and nobody else has mentioned it. 🤷🏻♀️
