Highly recommend Nathans training material, I got a lot out of it. Not sponsored, not a plant, just a guy that bought his stuff and was happy with the quality. Just FYI.
I’m glad I never invested the big bucks on a Metaport Pro camera. My Insta360 and Rico Theta are essentially cross platform and I could do cloudpano, Matterport or even Zillow 3-D, even though Zillow 3-D tours are probably the worst looking of the bunch.
Gr8 discussion again. You are totally right, my agents just want vertical reels and good pictures. One of them is asking the Zillow 3D because showingtime requested it, otherwise, she would never ask me for a Zillow 3D.
I really don't see 3D tours going away - the long-term play is for acquisition of data about the built world. Costar is in THAT race. Matterport (Costar) owns the data that we build for them. It's all about who gets the most first, and how they can leverage that.
Great take to the situation and very similar to what I was thinking about it all. I have actually had an uptick in 360 deliverables over the past month in NC, the first time it's happened since 2022 but I deliver through Kuula and not Matterport so I'm not sure if that is the difference? Either way I think you're spot on!
That's all very eye-opening, thanks. It connects a lot of dots. Question- I was trying to add photos to an agent's new Showtime Plus account just last week. I was definitively told by their support that they require some 3D content to accompany the stills. They will not post only stills from an indy photographer. Can you confirm?

Thanks for another extremely viable update!

Most realtors are anti-zillow. These companies forget that real estate is localized. . .
I never forgot the 1st time I saw a matterport camera, (said no way once I saw the quality)
People are viewing listings on Instagram? Now I know I'm getting old.
THANK YOU!
ThanK YOU Nathan
Was waiting for this commentary since I heard the news hahahaha
