- Redfin (NASDAQ: RDFN) recently reported a widening loss in the fourth quarter due to the “dreadful” real estate market. However, there are some company initiatives that are not fully reflected in the numbers yet, and an industry trend that could be a major long-term catalyst.

Paying 'top agents' 75% of 1% listings doesn't sound like a strategy to lure top agents to move to Redfin to me.
Thanks 🙏 Matt,
Held RDFN for 4 year roller coaster. Believe they will capture more market share long term. Accumulating shares slowly. Have sold 2 properties on the platform. Excellent experience.
Hi Matt, I like your channel. one thing I'm worried about is that Redfin can only turn a profit in a good housing market and not be able to maintain a profit in the company even in worse times. what do you think??
Real estate is winner long term Redfin 🚀
Greatly appreciated thanks, do you think there is a risk of a capital raise / share dilution?
Let’s do RDFN meme
Any concerns about their debt? Bankruptcy risk or dilution coming?
I'm concerned Compass is eating their lunch lately :(
After news on Friday, if normal agent only receive 1-1.5% commission fee now, which is comparable to Redfin's 1%. What's the advantage of Redfin is? Why people will choose Redfin rather than MSL agent? The fee is almost same in the future.
Real Estate agents are being phased out, along with lawyers, accountants and on and on, before you know it they will be gone
Another Matt Frankel gem 😅
Matt: Any comments on the effect of the NAR proposed settlement? Market does not believe it will help Redfin.

What do you think about the possibility bankruptcy and merger for Redfin
Bankruptcy isn't too likely, at least not anytime soon...Redfin has plenty of cash to make it through the tough times. A merger is far more likely. Someone like Zillow could buy Redfin and still have billions of dollars sitting around.
Zero confidence in the CEO after seeing him on “Buy My House”
Glenn just bought 30.5k shares of Redfin yesterday
Who is Glenn?
@@Alex-Music639the son of Glenn's mother
@@henrikg7661 how do you know that he had a mother and not two fathers?👨❤️👨
Why are they losing money?
The don't have a good enough cost structure to be profitable in a terrible real estate market. My honest answer.
Hopefully avoid a recession lol
